We stayed here during a Beijing tour, which guaranteed us a 5 star hotel. Well, this was not a 5 star hotel...For a local hotel, it seemed like it was less than a 3 star hotel. ||The perks: the hotel was roughly 30 minutes from the Peking airport (a taxi costed around 43 Yuan). It is also a 5-10 minute walk from the 798 Art District. It did its job of being a suitable place to just rest for the night. The bathroom was fairly nice. All rooms had hardwood floors, had a refrigerator and hot water pot, and a phone. No clocks. ||Now, the hotel did serve breakfast but it seemed like it was in the dungeon/basement of the hotel where maybe the hotel staff would eat their meals on breaks. The breakfast was not great, typical dishes included congee which was just water and rice pretty much, fried rice and noodles, some steamed vegetables, fried eggs, chicken, and some mysterious "sausage" or bacon. |The rooms were also pretty dusty. Like if I looked under the bed or moved one of the chairs in our room, I would find a pile of dust. The shower drains also didn't seem like they were cleaned, as we would find some hair stuck in the drain. It would also be nice if housekeeping was generous with their toilet paper since one roll would not even last one night for two people. The AC in the room was very weak so the room was fairly warm during the nights we stayed there.|The lobby was fairly nice but early in the morning, they didn't turn on the AC so it was hotter in the hotel than it was outside. Also, we requested a wake-up call our last morning so we could catch our flight out of Beijing but they didn't give us one but luckily I set my alarm that morning just in case.||Overall, this does a good job of being a place to crash for the nights that is a bit out of the city center (roughly 1 hour if you're sitting in traffic). If you are looking for a hotel that has many amenities, look for a different hotel while...
Read moreStayed in this hotel for 6 nights solid. bed linens was not changed even once even though we had placed the notice card for a change - we did it only the 3rd day of our stay(to help save the energy/earth). Floor was not swept/vacuumed (not even once throughout our entire stay), coffee mug that we used to make our own 3 in 1 coffee was also not touched even once, no spoon or stirrer provided - better no coffee/tea making facility it was not provided. Asked to changed the towels, they did once but 1 of the bath towels was with holes all over. Toilet tissue roll was only replinished once throughout our stay. Breakfast was HORRIBLE!. Can't even eat it. Went once only. This hotel is meant for groups as there are many group tours in and out. That does not warrants such a service. Please improve. You are not the only hotel around.Do read the reviews before accepting your Travel Agent...
Read moreMe and friend stayed there on 11 Apr-14 Apr 2016. The room is tidy and big enough for 2 people. I have no special comment for the room. The location is pretty handy, good for business trip as it's not too far from city. roughly 30 mins from the Beijing airport by taxi. There is a mini grocery shop just right next to the hotel entry. Another convenience store is behind the hotel. precisely speaking, it's turn right after you walk out the hotel lobby. The only satisfactory is the dining area is under the construction. I had my breakfasts there for 3 days. The moment I walked in, I was surprised that it doesn't really look like where you should eat food there. The variety and selection of food are limited. The soymilk, milk, juices all taste like power mixed with water. Everything liquid tastes awful. I would strongly recommend to dine out, instead of staying there. Good for...
