Sunflower Hotel — Hotel in Beijing

Stayed for 2 nights for our visit to Universal Studios Beijing. The Sunflower Hotel provides free shuttle to the park. Very convenient. Our suite was clean, beautifully furnished, very spacious and a great choice for a family of 4. Excellent value. Hotell staff was friendly and helpful, and we experienced no issues that couldn't be handled with some assistance from translator apps. Our oldest child turned 10 on our day of arrival, and I had put in a request for a gesture of celebration for the birthday child when I booked - some balloons or similar. I did not expect anything major. I was SO happy to see the beautiful arrangements the staff had made for the birthday girl. She was absolutely delighted and very surprised when she opened the door. I enjoyed a couple of nights in this hotel in November 2014 and March 2015. This hotel is a chinese hotel with good standard.||||Rooms are spacy and in good condition. The hotel makes no difference between a non-smoker and smoker room. But if you do wish an extra cleaning they do this for you.||||The breakfast is ok, chinese style with some western style items.||||Opposite to the hotel is Beijings oldest Beijing Duck hotel - a temptation.||||Its located nearby a sub-way station and its simple to get around.||||A public shuttle is available for 24 RMB from Beijing Capital Airport. Take the Route to Tongzouh. Just go the the final station, the hotel right there. Transfer time is about 45 mins.
