Zhongjia Palace Hot Spring Hotel — Hotel in Beijing

Since there are not so many reviews i will go into details:||||1) The most important problem is language issue. Most of staff do not speak English. ||- Only Reception and Concierge can slightly understand your needs.||2) Food : Choice during Breakfast is mainly for Chinese . I preferred to stay in room rather than having breakfast even though it was already paid. ||3) The room itself is nice, however ||- the mattress is very hard, Personally i was not able to sleep at night . I asked if they had another kind of bed , they said that only this can be provided .||- It was hot outside and The AC was not operating in all rooms: They said only fresh air since it is not yet the period to launch AC in all the hotel. So you can imagine sleeping in such hot room!||- Several good things in the room: Bathroom was ok. TV, Computer desktop available, Safe box, Iron etc.... bottle of water...||4) Wifi connection was good the first day everywhere. Then only in Lobby , they said too many people in hotel , so Wifi only in Lobby. I was not able to access my emails from room starting the 2nd day!||5) The Hotel is very very big, several restaurants, Buffet restaurants (Chinese). Tennis court , Game rooms, hair dresser, shops... The Rest area next to Lobby, is huge and very nice , i will attach a picture for you to see. Bar closed almost all the time. We were having a gathering with friends late in the evening ( around 11.30pm) after business dinner , then suddenly they closed the lights ... It was time to go to bed.... Unacceptable.||6) Location is close to Exhibition center which makes it convenient for such a business trip. However very far , more than one hour by car to City Center. If you are going on holidays, such area is not recommended at all. ||7) For Chinese Families, i think it can be suitable ... Or Chinese Businessmen during Conference or others....There are several conference rooms in the hotel : convenient for such occasion. If we skip the AC, Wifi, Mattress issue. ||8) There were swimming pools, etc... but i didn't see any of them, lack of time and explanations of where and how to benefit from such service.||||I will not come back to this hotel for above first reasons. I noticed a Crown Plaza hotel not so far in case i have to go to exhibition again....

This is a good hotel. I stayed for nights with a group. Everything was always clean and rooms were comfortable. Not huge but the size was OK. A/c worked perfectly, and amenities were good. They have a computer on each room which was a plus. Wifi was kind of on and off, but in my room I found the spot where it worked (this should be fixed as it happened in other rooms where other people were staying). We had a special breakfast (served in a smaller restaurant of the hotel) and it was Ok, but kind of boring. Lunch and dinner were better. Not too varied but they did change a few things everyday. We enjoyed the plaza in the middle of the hotel as it was a nice place to hang out. There's nothing close (just the airport). We payed around 115Rmb for a taxi to the center. (Around $17), which was fair since it was about an hour with very little traffic. ||The hotel has good amenities, pool tables, hot springs, a 5D cinema, and a convenience store with snacks, drinks and souvenirs. Some of the staff spoke english, but this is usual in China. ||The menu says they offer room service up to 2am, but we requested a sandwich at 1:40am and they told us they couldn't make it, so they oferred some noodles from the restaurant (that weren't tasty at all, it's so much better to have the bowl of packed ramen they also offer). They shoud add to the menu the time of the last order. ||Overall, it was a good hotel if you want to stay near...
