I had a very short stay at this hotel of only a few hours, but it left a decent impression.||||The room was an okay size and decently equipped. The bed was comfortable. As some of the other travelers commented, the rooms could use some freshening up. ||||An employee told me that approximately 95% of the guests are business travelers related to the automobile industry, as the hotel is located in the FAW (First Automobile Workshop) area of the city. If you are a LaoWai (foreigner to China), you will feel right at home. A sign of the diverse crowd this hotel services, it has a number of different restaurants, Chinese, Japanese, German and International. I only had the breakfast buffet, and was impressed by the freshly made Chinese ramen. ||||I would have given it four stars, but the checkout experience left some to be desired. As is customary in many non-luxury hotels in China, they send someone to check the room when you check out. They said I broke their alarm clock (one of those you can buy from the dollar store for

The rooms are clearn, spacious, bed is fine, basically it is very comparable to European standards... apart from the fact that there is no coffee in the room, breakfast is Chinese (with little, but existing Western style food), and personnel that speaks good English in the lobby. However, asking for an iron/iron board via phone was extremely challenging. It was after 22:00 when I checked in, and the English speaking people were no longer there. Read moreThe staff were overall very polite and hospitable during our stay. For instance, they helped fixed our room’s defective thermostat and promptly delivered us additional toiletries to our room by request. The breakfast area had a large selection of foods to choose from, allowing guests to customize their own plates to their liking. There was also a professional chef present to cook up additional dishes, such as fried eggs and noodles - both of which were excellently made. The room we were given, however, did not have a good ventilation system as there were multiple instances where the smell of cigarettes flooded into our room. Consequently, this forced us to open our window to air out the room. Our bathroom door also could not lock - let alone close at all. We hope that only our room was affected. With all said, our overall experience at this hotel was pleasant and we would recommend anyone visiting Changchun to come stay...
