Country Garden Phoenix Hotel Changsha — Hotel in Changsha

Stayed 2 nights in this Hotel upon our return from Zhangjiajie. ||||This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in our years of travel. The Hotel is huge and classy – it took us some walking distance to the nearest elevator to our room – such is its hugeness. ||||Our room was so spacious, modernly furnished and clean – with 2 luxurious queen-sized silk-linen beds for 2 persons – it was simply heavenly! ||||The toilet amenities was modern. It was clean and toiletries well-stocked. However, the room's Wi-Fi was slow and almost non-existent. ||||The Hotel’s surroundings were amazing – nice Chinese garden-style. We were never tired of taking shots after shots - with its cool landscaping. ||||The restaurant is really on a large-scale - both in size - and - food, of course! It is clean and classy too. We had 2 buffet breakfast and 2 buffet dinners in this Hotel. The food spread was aplenty and we were spoilt for choice. On-the-spot-cooked noodles and eggs cooked in different styles saw long queue of guests as these seemed to be everyone’s favorite. || ||Nice and cozy ambience to have our meals and a good chitchat session with our fellow travelers. What caught our eye were some guests coming in their pajamas and Hotel’s bath robes – as well as wearing the Hotel’s bedroom slippers for dinners. I stayed in this hotel for a month during August 2014 during my business trip. It is far away from the centre, nothing much happening on the island where this hotel stands, close to the airport though. The staff was super attentive and willing to help, they spoke so so English, usually there was one person during each shift who spoke well. No matter what, I feel like it is my other home, if you are nice, wishing them good morning and talk to them in easy English, they will be amazing and friendly. The pool and gym... Well I didn't try it, it didn't look that nice. Room - better to ask for the pool view. The room service - the food was not really good, take a cab and go somewhere else.
