Chengdu Airport Jianguo Hotel — Hotel in Chengdu

We booked this hotel through a booking website and stated we would be arriving at 6 in the morning because we wanted to sleep a few hours before continuing our flight to bangkok. Hotel staff didnt speak english so they couldnt understand our email, meaning they cancelled our room because we should have arrived before 23. 59.||We had to pay 260 rmb for 4 hours and they actually woke us up, calling after 3 hours 20 minutes to tell us we had 40 minutes left. Why would you do that? Like we need 40 minutes to get dressed.. We could have slept 20 more minutes.||Wouldnt book this if you dont speak Chinese. Stayed here for a few hours since their was a long layover. The place is very clean and beautiful. Staffs are helpful even though they dont understand much English, they use translater to answer any questions. It's approximately 10 mins from the airport, they do provide free airport shuttle every 30 minutes, however taking a taxi from CTU airport is like $5 US. Very clean, very comfortable place and safe for solo travellers. All hotel staff, even their shuttle drivers are very friendly. Very near airport on map but highly recommend to contact hotel reception directly to arrange for airport pickup, regardless the time of the day. Supper and breakfast are available at hotel.
