Stayed 7 nights in November'18 at Holiday Inn Express Chengdu Tianfu, No. 469 Jiqing 1st Road. There is another property of the same name so you need to check the address to make sure its location as Jiqing 1st Road. About this hotel, the room is spacious with free wifi and provided free bottled drinking water daily as well as tea/coffee making on your own. Nearest Metro station is Century City. It is about 15 minutes walk according to one of the staff but I preferred to take a taxi from the hotel to the station and back which cost about RMB10 per way. To go to Chunxi Road station where most of the departmental stores are located there, take the train to Tianfu Square and change line to Chunxi Road station which is one stop away from Tianfu Square station. Another mall to visit is Global Mall which is better to take the taxi from hotel. The metro station at Global Mall is Jincheng Plaza station. Going to the airport is also convenient. About 30 minutes without jam and cost less than RMB40. All staff were polite and they greeted you at the lift too. Front desk staff Miss Dory was very helpful, finding information as per request on a few occasion. Another male staff (didn't get his name), was also helpful and gave me directions how to walk to Century City Metro station. He seemed to be inspecting every floors at that time when I asked. If you are attending any event at Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center, 198 New Century Road, you could also take a taxi there from this hotel which is approx.. 15 mins by taxi. About breakfast, would hope they have more...
Read moreFor a new business hotel offering all the basic needs, one simply cannot beat its price (300RMB or less). It's in the new up-coming Tianfu area in Chengdu; mostly for local business, with very little tourist.||Goods:||Location is safe while busy; about 15 mins walk to subway station. If your destination is Global Center, it's about 25 mins walk.||Some eateries nearby; but with crazily popular food-delivery service in China, this is less important.||Breakfast is simple yet sufficient.||Staffs encountered are all polite; which is more common in 2nd tier cities in China than 1st tier ones.||Not good:||Hotel is supposed to be "brand new" but you probably would wonder why it doesn't appear that way... still clean in most cases anyway.||Some small amenities are lacking; for example, in shower room, there is no holder to place your own shampoo/razor/toothbrush/etc; one can only put them on the floor. Also, it has a laundry room (which is good), but there is no trash can.||The worst:||The official address of this hotel is simply wrong. It's actually the other side of the building of this address. And since it's new hotel, the cab driver won't know it if you use the official address. ||||Overall, good business hotel, as long as you know...
Wirklich...
