My Stay at Hyatt Place Chengdu Pebble Walk

I recently spent a delightful few nights at Hyatt Place Chengdu Pebble Walk, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. Nestled in the Wuhou District, the location is vibrant—adjacent to the Xiangnanli pedestrian block and just a short walk to Metro Line 5/Sanyuan Station, making it ultra-convenient for both business and leisure excursions .

The hotel offers spacious, well-designed rooms with modern decor—think clean lines, a cozy sofa-bed, and generous workstations. The king bed was very comfortable, blackout curtains ensured good rest, and the in-room amenities (like a minibar, kettle, and reliable Wi‑Fi) added to the convenience .

Impressively clean and well-maintained facilities stood out from day one. Housekeeping was consistently thorough, and staff at the front desk and in common areas were unfailingly friendly, responsive, and spoke good English—huge plus when navigating as international guests .

🍽 Breakfast & Dining

Breakfast was a highlight: ample variety of Asian and Western dishes, including local Sichuan flavors. Energetic and enjoyable start to the day. For other meals, the surrounding Xiangnanli offers an eclectic mix of eateries, from hotpot to lighter tea-house fare—great for sampling Chengdu’s culinary scene .

The hotel hosts a sizable indoor pool and a well-equipped fitness center—perfect for winding down after a day of exploring or meetings. Both received positive feedback from many guests .

📝 Final Reflection

Staying at Hyatt Place Chengdu Pebble Walk felt like getting all the perks of a full-service upscale hotel—modern rooms, strong service, great amenities—without the hefty price tag. Its location in Xiangnanli blends local flavor with city convenience, while the on-site facilities (gym, pool, restaurant) checked all the boxes for a well-rounded stay.

My only minor wish: slightly more precise temperature control in the AC unit would’ve been ideal. But overall, this hotel delivered reliably and comfortably—highly recommended for solo travelers, families, and business...

Note: Location on Google maps is incorrect. It's beside the ChangDu 1st Hospital Station and opposite a huge mall.

First time to China, and Hyatt didn't disappoint.

Clean rooms, great service, and it's not a 3 star hotel, it's more to 4 to 4.5 Stars (I suspect down voting was involved)

Great location with a huge mall across the street, a cute little old town setting at the hotel's feet with even a 7-11 and tons of restaurants.

Great LARGE gym shared by the hotel. Indoor pool (gym has to be accessed through the 3rd level and through the shared gym bathrooms)

The staff spoke English and were super duper pro, even the cleaners (salute to them)

Buffet breakfast had good variety of local and Western.

It's because of this hotel and the staff, that I would love to go back again, and again to China.

If its your first time, Hyatt...

Very friendly hotel staff, massive room big TV, I loved it, there was nice european like stone buildings beside it which added to the charm. If you are searching for the hotel, pebble walk words aren't going to be the best choice to type on a map. I ended up typing on I think baidu maps Hyatt place and then matching the pictures, it was pretty much the first one. The train station is called Chengdu 1st hospital station then you exit at C2 up the escalator, cross the road directly in front of you and turn left, you'll see the hotel as the first thing on your right, well the side access road, if you go further you will see the stone European looking buildings and the hotel is within that nice area with all the restaurants.
