Joyhub Cheer Hotel — Hotel in Chengdu

I stayed at this hotel as I had an early morning flight to Nepal the next day, and it proved to be an excellent choice. The location right between Terminals 1 and 2 was incredibly convenient for catching my flight.One of the standout features was the free desktop computer and printer available for guest use. This came in handy as I was able to print out my boarding pass and other travel documents without any hassle.The room service I ordered the night I arrived was also a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and the service was very professional, with the waiter bringing it to my room on a trolley. It was a nice touch that made the dining experience feel elevated.The only slight drawback was that the on-site fitness center, which includes a gym and pool, required an additional fee to access. However, with the early flight, I didn't have time to use those facilities anyway.The only other minor inconvenience was that the travel money exchange booth within the hotel was not open, so I had to go to the departures area in Terminal 1 to exchange currency.Overall, I had a very positive experience at this airport hotel. I had come after a 11 hour journey . I was tired and needed rest being 60 years old. The room they gave me was facing the sun and it was extremely hot. I told the reception. A lady came and said it will cool in half an hour . An hour went by there was no sign of cooling and the hotel was quite expensive. They sent some mechanics who did find a fault and told me it will take further half an hour. I had already taken out my stuff but they insisted I shift to another room if I wanted it cool faster . Reluctantly agreed. The more I told the lady I am tired and let me check if I had taken everything from the room she rushed me to the hilt and on the process of carrying my stuff like boots and shoes and coat I walked slowly. She dropped my padlocks too . All I had requested her was to slow down and to let me go back to the room to check if I had left anything back but she turned me down a bit rudely. |Also the new room I was taken to was not cleaned properly as I was not carrying any tetrapack juices but saw a straw with a plastic wrapper in the toilet. |I am still meant to come back when my journey finishes for a night. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. I was in chengdu for a connecting flight both times and needed a hotel to stay. This one caught my eyes simply because of the location (it’s literally 5min walk IN the airport). I wasn’t really expecting much at first, in fact, I booked another hotel for my return leg. But after my first stay, I decided to book it again. Mostly for its unbeatable location. Also, the concierge service is great. I had a letter mailed over to the hotel before I arrived and they helped to hold on. I was so grateful they handled it gracefully. Bonus, if you have a Chinese domestic flight, they will give you a VIP security clearance voucher if you are not already business/first class/member of your flight (at the time of writing). Although 1 small thing that can be improved is the breakfast bakery section. I feel like everything is all cold and I have to use the conveyor toaster to warm them a little. Just a small thing.
