I recently received a notification from Sichuan Air via SMS, informing me of a flight cancellation. They offered options for a refund or rescheduling, with accommodation provided for the latter.
Upon arriving at the airport and arranging the rescheduled flight, I was directed to the "Group Bus" exit, where a helpful staff member guided me to the appropriate large bus, destined for Tianfu International Hotel Complex.
Upon arrival, I presented the cancellation message and was promptly assisted with hotel registration. The room was equipped with a dual-function air conditioner/heater and stocked with complete toiletries, including shampoo, soap, and lotion.
My stay at Tianfu International Hotel Complex was enjoyable, with complimentary sachets of green and black tea, along with two bottles of mineral water provided. A convenience store opposite the hotel lobby offered daily essentials, acceptably payable via AliPay.
Although the hotel room's WiFi signal was weak, guests can opt for roaming or utilize a VPN. LAN connectors are available in the room, and international power plugs are provided. Hot water is readily available, but guests should bring their own coffee sachets as only tea is provided.
Additionally, guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast 06:00-09:30 at the restaurant opposite the lobby by presenting their hotel card number envelope. For Muslim guests, food options primarily consist of vegetables, fruits, and eggs.

Read moreYou can easily reach this hotel using the shuttle bus service directly from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Simply follow the "Group Bus" signs to the first floor. The large yellow shuttle bus, clearly labeled in English, is easy to spot. It departs every hour from the airport to the hotel.
The hotel is splendid—comfortable, and well-equipped with various services. The rooms are spacious and clean, offering a wide range of amenities. You can check in with just a small bag, as they provide essentials such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower cap, a hairdryer, and many more. Each room also includes a small refrigerator, drinking water, and tea bags.
Although the hotel is located about 1.5 hours from the city center by bus, it is surrounded by excellent authentic Chinese restaurants and a supermarket where you can find almost anything you need. The breakfast is good with a variety of food options to suit different tastes.
The only minor drawback is that the staff speaks little English. However, this wasn’t a problem for us as they tried to communicate using a translation app, which was very convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and warm-hearted, making our stay enjoyable, memorable, and...
Read moreI stayed at the Tianfu International Hotel Complex near Chengdu Tianfu Airport and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The location is incredibly convenient, just minutes from the airport with a free shuttle that runs on time. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-soundproofed — you’d hardly guess you're so close to an international terminal. Service was generally good, with polite staff and a smooth check-in, though the hotel layout is confusing; it's a massive complex with multiple buildings and minimal signage, so finding your way can be frustrating. Breakfast was decent but overcrowded, especially with tour groups, and some amenities felt understaffed. Still, for a short stay or layover, it offers great value and comfort — just be prepared to walk a bit and clarify building info...
