Athestel Chongqing — Hotel in Chongqing

Beautiful experience. ||Went there as my first time to the city in a business trip. ||The hotel is arranged from the company I work for. ||We were almost 10-12 people and I didn’t tell anyone that was my birthday. ||Entering in he lobby after the welcome drink, we could here the “Happy Birthday “ song and the staff approaching with a cake prepared from them for my birthday of course with the candles on top. ||Can’t thank them enough for that type of arrangement totally unknown to me. ||Not only, a present was left on my room from the management. ||Thank you very much. ||About the hotel:||It is very big, rooms are very clean and people always willing to help and assist you even not all of them speaks English very well. ||Several restaurants, and I can recommend the Japanese one for sure. ||The business lounge situated on 26th floor was nice and a lot of staff to grab. ||Very nice gym with the view on the swimming pool. ||But the best of course their...

My stay at this hotel was a very comfortable and convenient considering it’s not too far from the city Centre.||It has nice gym and in-house swimming pool. However there is constant precipitation in the gym because of the air conditioning inside the gym and probable water vapor from the heated pool entering it. ||It Offers a variety of options for vegetarians such as myself for breakfast buffet. Having ordered pizzas a couple of time for room service, they chefs have a big scope of improvement there. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t that good either. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived here after being on the president 8 boat for a 4 days Yangtze River cruise. It was our last hotel, before flying home to Canada . It was in a busy section of town with a ton of Chinese restaurants. The lobby was very impressive, we arrived early ... they provide a 2oclock checkout.... so our room were not ready.the hotel was very busy with a conference when we were there. The group decided to eat dinner inside the hotel. Most chose al carte dining, as we had 14 days of buffet prior.... they had a difficult time preparing hamburgers or sandwich under a 45 minute time.... they really wanted us to have the buffet.
