Fairy Lady Mountain Huapont Hotel — Hotel in Chongqing

Checking in||Checking in was a breeze. And buggy came to pick the bags to the rooms. ||||Rooms||No connecting rooms but its close enough. Welcome by 2x double beds, good for family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids. Apparently rooms are smoking rooms but no smoke smell. Dust at corners under the side tables. Nicely decorated both rooms and toilets. ||||Lunch (arrival day)||Ate at the in house restaurant (which was the venue for dinner for the next 2 nights). Lunch was simple. And the pricing for the dishes were not expensive. Hubby asked many times to double check on the price as he felt its too cheap for a portion to share. Rice was served in huge bowl and refillable. Nice roasted tea was served. Plain fry shredded Potato is an excellent dish for my kids too.||||Dinner (arrival day and 2nd night)||Food we ordered was a Chicken vegetable soup, cold dish pork ribs and stir fry veg. The soup is exceptionally delicious. And hence we decided to go back on 2nd night. On the 2nd night was the "Dongzi" and we ordered a Mutton soup. This soup was loved by my kids as well. Overall a must try for their Chicken Soup and Mutton Soup.||||||Breakfast (2nd day and 3rd morning)||Rooms only come w 1 inclusive breakfast per room where most hotel gives 2. Made to pay for 2nd pax. Breakfast at this western restaurant, but not very western except for cereals, eggs station and sausages. Nothing to shout about. Pretty messy scene in there. We decided to give the 3rd morning breakfast a miss.||||**If you would like to have your meals outside, its appox 40mins drive. My title says it all ! Located in the restricted Fairy Mountain region of Wulong. Especially beautiful outside in the morning with the fog (it really feels u r in a fairyland !) Stayed mid March. Was tranquil in the premises. Stayed in a room on the ground floor level - told by the travel agent who booked the room that ours were the best rooms there. Our room had a spa like decor with warm lights, a wooden floor that was heated (totally needed as it was cold !) & the bathroom area was clean & spacious with toilet , bathroom & vanity area along a row but separated. Do visit the natural rock forest area next to the front reception main building. My advice is stay in this hotel for your entire stay in Wulong even when you are visiting the Wulong mountain & waterfall regions because we stayed our first night in the Amber Hotel 10 mins from these 2 attractions (we were told it is one of best hotel nearest the Wulong mountain attraction) and it (Amber) was horrible (moldy toilet, cold seemingly heater in our room did not work, old & cigarette stench) ! We could have stayed in this hotel (Huapont) for our entire 2 nights if we had known what we were in for the first night ! This hotel is around 30 mins drive to the Wulong mountain & waterfall areas and u will definitely need a driver to take you around in Wulong (I think too dangerous to self drive because of the winding...
