Grand Metropark Hotel Chongqing — Hotel in Chongqing

I enjoyed my stay here for 6 nigths, can't think of something to complain about. My room is huge, cleaned everyday to a point I think my bedsheets were replaced daily. Every afternoon when I return to my room from work, my bed was cleaned spotless without any wrinkles so it get me thinking "hmm did they replace my sheets again?". Enough lights in the room it doesn't feel dark like other hotels. Breakfast was good too and dinner buffet is very reasonable with lots of choices including crabs and seafood. The spicy noodle in the restaurant was one of the best we tried in Chongqing - I only tried it on my last day and I kinda regret not trying the noodle as soon as I arrived because it was really good. Location is ideal too - it's very close to the bus station where you can get off from the mall using bus# 7.||Customer service? Perfect! Colin Qiao was very helpful in giving me suggestions where to buy a duffel bag and he also helped me call a taxi from hotel to the mall and gave me a souvenir doll when I checked-out.||This hotel is highly recommended and I will not hesitate to stay here again on...

Stayed here for business for two days. It was ok and served its purpose. Nothing to rave about. Buffet breakfast was sparse at best. Wired Internet was intermittently fine, but wifi was terrible (a common feature I find in mainland Chinese hotels). That was the most frustrating part of my stay. I had some rather comical efforts at ordering room service - this was caused by a combination of translation issues and the fact the person on the other end of the line apparently didn't have the menu I had so she ended up having to come to my room to resolve the confusion. Translation issues also caused me to not get my local beer until about an hour after I had finished my meal. No one seemed to be able to understand what I wanted even it was placed with my initial order. I have had to do business in the area so tried to avoid the bad traffic in the morning. Chose the hotel based on the location, in the airport zone. I have stayed at the Crown Plaza in the new north zone on the golf course but there were no rooms available this time.||Location: Good;||Room: Clean, has all the facilities;||Service: Average. I have not even been asked if I require a non smoking room. I was given a smoking room;||Restaurants: Tried the Chinese restaurant and was not impressed. Had spicy fish among others.
