Dali Hotel — Hotel in Dali City

We went with a tour group.||The hotel is situated on top of a hill so it has quite a good view of the Erhai Lake.||The hotel is majestic with high ceiling and well decorated. The rooms are spacious, even after putting in 2 single king, a study table and a couch. There are complimentary movies in addition to the tv channels.||The hotel is a short 10 minutes walk to Erhai lake and a rmb15-20 taxi ride to the town center. ||The breakfast buffet spread is very good. The coffee is the best my family has had in our 8-day China trip. The local bread (粑粑) is yummy too. There is also a wide variety of fruits. ||The one thing that impressed me the most is the hotel staff, from the security officer at the entrance, potter to the staff and Chef at the breakfast restaurant. They wear a smile on their face and readily offers help and suggestions. They make us feel at home!||I highly recommend this hotel if you visit...

I was very impressed with Dali International Hotel. The hotel facilities, decor, service and Rooms were exceptional. I was especially impressed with the rooms. We book a room facing the Erhai Lake and with a balcony. The room was spacious, very modern and impeccably clean. The only negative I would say is that the a la carte menu for the western restaurant is very limited. I hope this can be improved. Also the changing rooms at the swimming pools was not very clean. Location of the hotel is good if you want to be close to the new Dali prefecture government offices, although not convenient for wandering around by walk (not much to do around the hotel). This is counterbalanced by the room’s view though: sweeping views of Erhai lake in all its beauty! The property is well maintained, with very high clean standards, and all the personnel is extremely attentive and thoughtful.
