豪门大饭店 — Hotel in Dongguan

The building and room was adequately maintained and clean, albeit there were stains on the carpet and some broken outlets with cracks or loose fitted on the wall. The room was furnished nicely with a desk and chair but the TV was poor quality with static and a blurry picture. The AC in my room did not work even though it was set to 10 Celsius and on “High Mode”. I woke up with sweat and needed a shower. The Kansas City restaurant advertised was closed and the first Bella Donna restaurant appeared closed since all the lights were turned off and only one waiter was in the area, but he allowed me to have dinner and the food brought out was good quality and portion size. The area around the hotel is not great as you will need to get a car to go somewhere interesting. I walked down some of the streets, there is nothing close by of interest. The doorman kept staring at me when I would enter or exit the building, he would open the hotel door but not the car door. Sometimes he was not there. I have been staying at the Grand Noble Hotel on and off for the last 10 years or so. The hotel is by no means new and in comparison to some of the new properties you can stay at in Zhongshan or down the road in other parts of Dongguan, the Grand Noble seems somewhat small.||||With that being said the service was very good and the hotel was clean. The general manager, Leo, was very accommodating and it showed in how his staff treated us. The check in and check out process was fast, the dinner at their western restaurant was good and my experience brought back some of the nostalgia I had from when I first started coming to China for business.||||For this area, Humen, I'd recommend staying at the Grand Noble and I plan on doing so the next time...

The hotel looks beautiful, renovated, nicely decorated and facilitated. The furniture is very decent, according to the classic style of the hotel. The cleaning service is extraordinary.The breakfast provided could be more assorted and decent. Gym is pretty old, however it's convenient. The steam room and the sauna are too small, could be arranged better. The communication with the staff in English is very problematic, but electronic dictionaries saved us many times. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel and will be back if we have still things to do with...
