Cinese Hotel Dongguan — Hotel in Dongguan

Room was 4 star level. Spacious with good double bed and practical layout. Pillows were comfortable. In general room was clean and in very good condition. ||Price was below ¥400 and for that price value is very good. Hotel room is on Hilton level. ||Breakfast was good, and I am used to Chinese breakfast, but for that it was pretty good. There is a Kexi convinience store on left side of the hotel (snacks, soft drinks, beer etc.). If you go out on right side and turn right you come soon to a good Hunanese restaurant on next parallel street (good value tasty food). There is also a McDonald’s few hundred meters away also straight from lobby.||To sum it up: Cinese is a good bargain hotel in this area. Very much value for your money. Service is also clearly better than in your average Dongguan hotel. Wifi was bit slow. Anyway, I will stay here again when I am next time in this area....

For the price one pay, this is a decent hotel which used to be the Grand Mercure but curiously renamed as Cinese (minus the H) Hotel. ||||The lobby is very grand and spacious in typical Chinese style, but if you do not speak Mandarin then checking in may be a challenge. The front office staff are good looking and friendly to deal with. ||||The room is really nice and spacious too, the bathroom is separated by a glass wall with wooden curtains, interesting choice. ||||Breakfast was serve at the 2nd floor restaurant, food variety is decent and taste is average, but then this is my personal taste.||||There is a swimming pool and a spa too, but again, you need to speak Mandarin to be understood to use the facility. ||||Overall a decent stay for...

Check in staff at night was great.. But strange experience with idiot staff in the morning .. First tried to get knives and plate from room service in morning to cut fruit.. After several minutes of communication, had speak to manager to get knives sent to room... Staff asked why we needed knife?? ||||Second, check in staff offered breakfast as addon for rmb35 per person, but they gave us bill for Rmb75..per person.. Lots of negotiating with manager again... They are putting it to language barrier and not offered any solution .. Tried to call the check in staff from last night... No answer on his phone e... Will try again later... Advice, please get written confirmation on any deals... Avoid unnecessary hassles with more...
