Novotel Dongguan Songshan Lake — Hotel in Dongguan

Terrible experience at this hotel! I arrived at 9pm on the day to check in. But they said i cannot check in after 6pm. (What utter nonsense) then when i argued with them, they changed their excuse, stating that someone from custmer care in accor cancel my reservation (another nonsense). When i asked them who is the customer care from accor who called? They said they didnt know. (Another nonsense). Finally i took video of the duty manager and asking him to apologize, because until the last moment he didnt want to apologize and giving me nonsense excuses. Then i have to stay in another hotel because at this matter.

Please do not stay in this hotel! Reception until manager level cannot speak english at all. Bad service. I hope anyone will not get the same experience that i have. Because it was very terrible experience and tiring.

I was just grateful that i went for business trip. If i went with my family i could lose my temper. Imagine if you guys come at night with your kids and the hotel said the nonsense things that i explained above. What...

The hotel was very hospitable, the staff were friendly, the lobby was very relaxing to lounge in and quite inviting. Food deliveries to rooms are done by 2 artoo-looking robots. Rooms are always well kept. The gym was free for all with treadmills, elliptical walkers and a stationary bike, aside from weight lifting equipment and a big enough floor to do yoga or stretches. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and food shops. But is a bit difficult to buy anything if you don't have wechat pay... there is the familiar kfc and pizza hut... but all the rest are worthwhile to try out. Stayed 1 week in a regular room that was not very regular, checked out and checked in again in the evening, and was lucky enough to be upgraded for free.
