Wanda Realm — Hotel in Dongying

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip - the room was very comfortable, everything was there for my needs. Internet was of a reasonable speed which I had not found in other hotels.||||Bed was extremely comfortable - pillows nice and soft! Bathroom facilities are excellent, bath, sink and shower and toilet are in separate compartments which is a nice touch. Everything is provided - towels, flannels, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair dryer, iron, kettle, mini bar. ||||If there is not enough drinking water in the room you can just ask for more (as long as the green top water, blue top is charged for).||||My room was quite warm and did not have a window - the hotel is on quite a busy road, so would be noisy if window open any way. Air conditioning was not yet in use, apparently they do not switch on to May. I did find quite difficult to communicate this to the staff, however in the end I was brought a very light duvet and fan.||||Breakfast not quite as extensive as other hotels, but still very pleasant and a wide enough choice to suit most needs||||I would recommend this hotel if you...

The Wanda Realm is a nice hotel in Dongying. Stayed here for roughly 2 weeks. Deluxe Room was pleasantly furnished, and the king bed was very comfy. Room was clean. Wi-Fi for me was terribly slow at times and adequate at others. Walls are thin, as others have noted, so I could hear other loud rooms on and off during my stay.

The staff speak limited English and it is difficult at times to get your point across if you don't speak Chinese. Several times the front desk staff had to call someone who could speak better English. It's not terrible though, Dongying isn't exactly a major city with a lot of foreigners in it, so I tried to be flexible and patient.

The breakfast buffet is decent with a lot of choices. Coffee is out of a self service machine with several choices. It's passable, but not ideal for coffee lovers. The second floor restaurant is good, but expensive. The lobby bar is always empty, but does have cold beer and other choices, although expensive as well.
