茂县国际饭店 — Hotel in Fengyi

The hotel looks impressive on the outside but we had some issues with our room. The room is lit strangely by a few small spotlights. Its very harsh light in places, and dark in others. It also cast strange shadows due to the uneven light. No bedside lighting. The ac unit was also very strange. The room was strangely very hot, and this is in winter. But no matter what we did, and even setting the unit to "cool", it kept blowing hot air. We opened the windows, but as the hotel is next to a main road, its very noisy. We called reception but they were very unhelpful and said they cannot do anything about it. The shower as well was dysfunctional. Nice looking bathroom.... but the hot water took absolutely ages to come on. And then suddenly it spurted out extremely hot and scalded me! So frustrating. Nice looking hotel, but terrible experience.
