Have stayed several times at the Courtyard and Marriott that share the same building. ||The rooms share the same layout regardless of brand. Marriott rooms are decorated a little differently and has lounge access for certain rooms or membership levels.||The problem is you are paying, when last booked, 50 to 60% more for the Marriott knowing they are very similar hotels. The hotel seems to have realized this challenge and is trying to make the courtyard a cheaper experience it seems. ||This visit at check in I had to choose breakfast or points. Previously breakfast was always on the 5th floor, and I do not recall having to choose it or points as I am a Titanium member, and at check in I was not told of any change, in the morning they told me courtyard breakfast was now on the 6th floor.||Check in has only been 1 person working the desk, with limited English, so no benefit being a member when there is only 1 line. ||Think it is a mistake trying to make the Courtyard worse, rather than trying to make the Marriott better, or maybe they are trying to do both. For 20 to 30% rate difference I would probably choose the Marriott but next time will probably just try a...

We can go inside Marriott hotel to get into this courtyard Marriott as well. We can ask the hotel to help us call taxi drivers if we do not have a local phone for DiDi app. It takes 1 hour to get to Guangzhou and Tien he with the financial high tech zone subway station. We need to transfer line 3 times to get to Guangzhou with the subway. The financial high tech zone subway station is a bit far from the hotel, so I do not recommend walking to the subway! I prefer taking the bus to the subway station!
Bad attitude from bus drivers for new comers!
On the other hand, many of the bus drivers have a bad attitude when giving directions to new comers. This area is also Qideng Lake when we cross the bridge from the hotel, of course we did not know that as first timers! There needs to be more taxi drivers surrounding the hotel for more convenience for new customers as DiDI takes awhile to use! There are many taxi drivers outside of the financial high tech zone subway station which is good. Furthermore, this is a good hotel...

Even though foshan is a quiet city you could hear the car honking in the room on the 17th floor, even though their glass is double it is not noise proof. The doors make a loud noise when closing and you could hear other rooms closing which was annoying.
Did enjoy the pool and the food options. Will...
