Best Western Fuzhou Fortune Hotel — Hotel in Fuzhou City

I stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Fuzhou Fortune Hotel.||Since it was my first trip to Fuzhou, I can't compare it with other hotels in the city, but the rooms were clean, functional and fairly large, and even came with a computer. There was free wi-fi but my room had blind spots and the signal was intermittently weak - but that's a common problem everywhere. For your notebook, there's a LAN cable.||For some reason during both nights I stayed there, the room became rather stuffy and warm in the middle of the night, and my attempts to adjust the air-conditioner didn't help. I suspect the air-conditioning was cut off, because the room felt cool when I first came back after dinner.||Like the room, the hotel was clean and functional, as a business hotel should be. The buffet breakfast was like your average hotel breakfast.||The staff were polite, but I did not test their English...

Stayed at both Best Westerns in Fuzhou, both are very nice, but the Fortune is the better choice. Rooms are much larger, very comfortable bed, AC worked well, wi-fi free and fast, good western choices for breakfast and the price can't be beat, paid about $65 a night including 2 breakfasts. Staff is always smiling with a very polite, Good Morning, or Hello. I was traveling with my Chinese business partner so it is pretty easy for me as she can as any questions I can not. This hotel has quite a few staff that speak english, called room service to ask for ice in Chinese-about the only thing I know how to say and they answered me in English. I did not notice anyone in the Best Western Premiere that could speak english so if you need a hotel that you can communicate with the Best Western Fortune is the choice for you. We had the opportunity to visit Fuzhou recently during the Lunar New Year period. We stayed at the Best Western Fuzhou Fortune Hotel. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. Toiletries and drinking water are replenished daily. It came with complimentary breakfast which serves buffet which cater to local and foreign visitors. If you are adventurous enough to try the local cuisines, do venture out to nearby eateries which the locals frequent. Fast food eateries are also available within walking distance. To visit the popular tourist attraction, you may opt for bicycle rental or the affordable taxi rides. Taxi are usually metered. Ensure that you check before you get in the cab. Otherwise do get the concierge to get you a taxi if you are unsure. I highly recommend this hotel for leisure...
