Due to the change we need to stay one night near fuzhou airport, first choice was the closest hotel from the airport - fuzhou airport garden hotel, booked the best family room, first of all, no one told us the room air conditioning is not yet turned on, after called the front desk, we were told they can bring a small fan, we thought it might work. After they gave us the fan which doesn't really work, so we had to contact the front desk again, the room cost us around 600 RMB, because this room is not cheap, a hotel is for the sake of comfort and convenience, belongs to a southern city of fuzhou, guest room was hot and has a half-open window, But there is no window screen, open will have a lot of mosquitoes, we have a three-year-old baby, secondly, the sanitation and cleanliness of the room are worth questioning! Unable to refund the cost of our stay, we were forced to change hotels with our three-year-old within an hour of entering our room.||||Luckily, in the opposite of the first hotel, we saw baixiang hai ying resort hotel, first thing we asked the front desk was if there is air conditioning, the staff again (at that time, there are four waiter) got affirmative answer, they said yes they have air conditioning, so we again with a child of three to the price of 688 RMB a night at the sea view room, the hotel is a new hotel, in April this year just to decorate and health is good, we also feel relieved, into the room after open air conditioning, after more than half an hour air conditioning also didn't respond, just like a fan air supply, then contact the front desk, They said that the air conditioner of the hotel did not turn on the cooling function, but only provided air supply, so they made another phone call to explain and mediate. Finally, the engineering department said that the "slowly" was turned on, and there would be cold air. We waited until 6 o 'clock the next morning.||||We as consumers to be deceived by such twice in the same night, the cost of the two hotels are not small, a total of more than 1200 RMB, we're disappointed for baixiang group, we have a three four times a year to go abroad, foreign domestic will count number in the hotel, had never met such a hotel management situation, such terrible customer service of their management team, general manager of the hotel, to teach them how to cheat customer, how to face in front of consumers do not change color of the heart...
Read moreI have stayed at this hotel twice for business (Oct. 2005 and 2006) and I am planning a third visit. It has clean rooms with simple western style furnishings and bathrooms. Beds have a hard density for western guests' standards, but this hardness is common for Chinese guests. My room had a television with no international channels. CCTV 8 is available for English language broadcasts from Beijing. Rooms can face either the Pacific Ocean or the airport. Without a specific request, I was automatically assigned an ocean view room. I have never heard a landing or departing plane from my room.|| I paid 235RMB + 10 percent service charge for one person in Oct. 2006.|| I paid an extra charge of 100 RMB for high speed internet access for 24 hours. It is best if you bring your own Ethernet cable, but it is sometimes available. Using high speed internet, I have listened to internet radio.|| Shuttle service is available to the airport. It is best to make an advance reservation. You can show them your departure ticket and I think they will tell you the time for the shuttle bus. Shuttle service from the airport to the hotel should also be available (perhaps by telephone call or the hotel 12 passenger bus waiting at the airport).|| A Chinese buffet breakfast is available in the dining room. Dinner is by Chinese menu. I order using simple spoken Chinese or by pointing to a menu, that I brought from my home country and which has Chinese and English.|| Very few reception desk personnel speak English. Use a Chinese phrase book, your business contacts, a telephone translation service, or other guests to communicate. The staff is pleasant and tries to be helpful and is very tolerant of my poor attempt to communicate in Chinese.|| If you need to stay near this location, this hotel is a...
Read moreA nice luxury-kind hotel not too far from the airport (FOC-Fuzhou). |My first advise and I must emphazise it several times is DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET THERE BY WALKING. Google says its a 7-min walk from the airport and it turned out to be around and hour. Make sure you arrange the shuttle provided by the hotel in advance. Its way more convenient and it will save you lots of time and efforts (although the area is quite safe, walking at night in a chilly weather with your luggage is not considered as an adventure...). |The hotel is nice and comfortable. Attendants in the check in counter barely speak a bit of English (so please learn some Mandarin in advance) but they will try to help you. Also, make sure to indicate that you want a smoke free room (they have smoke rooms, and its not nice if you dont smoke). |Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Double bed is actually huge! So comfortable, with nice pillows and a great duvet. |Plenty of space for storing your belongings although you may be only on a short layover like me. |A small desk helps when you have some work to do. A small safe box inside the closet is also provided. |Robes and slippers for everyone! Toilettries and other details (like a lovely dish with fruit) make your arrival very pleasant. |Bathroom is fine, with a good shower (funny they have a glass wall so you can see your room from the shower) and it has everything you may need. |Breakfast is very good with mostly Asian options and some alternatives for those who came to Asia thinking it would be like staying at a Holiday Inn in Houston (give the Asian menu a try, you wont regret!). |Free shuttle bus, coffee and tea in room and in lobby, and I heard the beach is close (bike rentals for a small price). |I believe staying here is a great option if you plan...
