The location is beautiful with spectacular views of the tree covered mountains with snow on the upper reaches. The hot water springs are delightful and a terrific infinity pool with views beyond.||The bedrooms are best within the main complex allowing easier access to the hot springs rather than the numerous chalet scattered around the complex especially in with winter months when it’s pretty chilly outside.||The staff are courteous and helpful at all times.||What lets this hotel down is its restaurant which is shockingly poor. Breakfast is a bun fight with a very mediocre selection of foods for those of us who aren’t Chinese. I appreciate the majority of guests are from within the PRC however even my Asian friends were dismayed by the poor quality of cooking, the grease, the lacking in seasoning and generally shoddy cooking.||The juices were watered down watermelon or melon. The milk was predominantly finished and the coffee beyond the pale of gross. ||Dinner is both expensive and ghastly. The food is basic and of extremely poor quality. The salt is enough to drive even the fittest persons pulse racing and needs dipping in water to take the edge off before each mouthful. The meat is of the cheapest quality and the dishes limited. Most meals were 350-600 rmb for two). I was limited to eating egg fried rice and fried cabbage as the meats were so vile & salted.|Warm water is offered as standard. There’s no wine, just two beers both served lukewarm and similarly water served on plastic cups and plates. There’s no glass-wear. ||So to cap it all its a lovely hotel but with some of the worst food you’ll...

The accommodation was most spacious with 6 bedrooms en suite, mahjong room and a balcony sitting area big enough to accommodate all 10 of us. The views down the valley were stunning. The hot springs were a delight as was the infinity pool. On the Saturday night after dinner there was entertainment where with the local dancers we all could join in to dance around a big bonfire - it...
Read moreExcellent stay. We changed to a hot spring suite and it was worth it. Very spacious and well appointed. Front desk Shi Shi was very helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. We also left some items in the hotel and she helped to advise on how we can retrieve them via courier. However the hot spring next door looked a bit sad, I think it would be a fabulous place to visit when it’s peak season and all the...
