Holiday Inn Express Guangzhou Panyu Dashi, an IHG Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

Upon our arrival there was problem with the booking due to some IT problem at the hotel. Despite that the staff persevered and everything was sorted out. Great customer service, always helpful and polite.||We had taken a deliberate decision not to stop in city centre hotels on this trip and to explore the countryside outside the city. That is why we chose this hotel. The free breakfast was good, with plenty of choice.| |From our room we had great views across the city and of the market (which never seemed to stop and did not disturb us.) off to the side of the hotel.||There is an underground car park, so parking a car is no problem, but you need to be able to drive in China. Fortunately, my daughter’s boyfriend drove us around.||Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room, which was odd given how hot it is in Southern China.||Our room was on the side of the hotel where we could look down on the market and from the window at the end of the corridor you could see the 600 metre Canton Tower in the distance. We have 2 amazing stays in the past 2 weeks during my family visit in Guangzhou. I am planning to book another one later this week. Facilities here in Dashi are super clean and comfortable. Staff AND services are excellent. Most importantly, no smoke or weird smell AT ALL during my stays. It has been very challenging to find hotel room in GZ that is REAL smoke free or free of smoke/weird smell. Holiday Inn Express in Dashi is by far the best for my families. Also, the property has a well-maintained self-served laundry room so I can do all my laundry without additional cost and at my most convenience. With a super rainy and hot-humid season of the year, I cannot imagine how a traveller can survive from a trip without easy access to efficient washer/dryer. Last but not least, the staff in Dashi was so nice to prepare a wonderful "blindbox" for my little one on the International Children's Day, that is a well packaged gift box with random assortment of little gifts. I love to stay at Holiday Inn Express always. So Naturally chosen this IHG Hotel to stay as it's close to the High Speed Rail Station that I wanna take. Rooms as usual, spacious enough for 2pax and 3pax This time came with my kids so booked another one bedroom suite, which had a sofa and ample space for 3 young adults. 5mins walk to the metro station and just beside one of the most famous night markets. Just downstairs is McDonald's which opens till midnight. There's also a provision shop next to the McDonald's and Cotti Coffee. Surrounding area has plenty of food choices and supermarkets to get your snacks and drinks. I do recommend staying here if you don't like the city buzz area. Less noisy also. Great...
