Holiday Inn Guangzhou South Lake — Hotel in Guangzhou City

I booked Holiday Inn Guangzhou South Lake rather randomly due to its location close to the airport, and I am so glad that I stayed here (instead of city center) because it turned out to be a wonderful stay, definitely among the best stays I have had among all holiday Inn hotels. ||All hotel staff were very professional, from the reception to the restaurants (breakfast and the Chinese restaurant), from the doormen to the housekeeping team, everyone was so nice and helpful. Their impressive service level far exceeded many InterContinental hotels. I had some demanding requirements during my stay and the receptionist (e.g. Ms. F. Zhou) was very patient and willingly took extra steps. I hope the hotel staff or the management team will see this Review so that they will know my appreciation for their excellent service provided during my stay.||The room was super clean and felt very brand new, I especially liked the open space design of the washing room area (e.g. room 1716), which can be connected with the rest of the room via two sliding doors. ||The hotel has a warmed outdoor swimming pool, which was very comfortable to get a dip even in the "cold" winter days. This is very impressive because even some InterContinental hotels in this region only have outdoor pools at room temperature. ||The breakfast was great and the Mr. receptionist for the breakfast was very attentive and caring. The Chinese restaurant (on the 3rd or 5th floor, sorry for my bad memory) had some very delicious dishes that I am already missing these days.||All in all, a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Guangzhou South Lake, which is truly a gem in the region.
