Overall, this was a reliable, by-the-book stay. Check-in was efficient, the room was clean and quiet, and everything worked as expected. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I felt appropriately recognized: a sensible upgrade, breakfast benefit honored, and late checkout handled without fuss.||||The second-floor café was generally fine, but one issue is worth noting—the cut cantaloupe (Hami melon) served was bitter. Everything about the hotel was wonderful. Many of the staff speak English so that is a plus if you’re a foreigner that doesn’t speak Chinese. They were helpful with all our requests. The breakfast was delicious and we ordered dinner which was also yummy. The only downside is the location, as it’s quite far from the city. However there is a high speed train station (Xintang) near the hotel and you can book a ticket to Guangzhou station which will take you closer to the city area. Everything you would expect from a relatively new Hyatt Regency. The location is not quite ready for the hotel. It is surrounded by construction sites and yet to be occupied buildings. The mall it "connects" to (Hopson One) has barely any shops open. The public spaces are very large. The rooms are nicely spacious and well layed out.
