Imperial Springs is a beautiful hotel set amongst a very serene Guangdong environment. Don't expect lots of busy activity here. Lots of quiet and it's often possible to not meet any other guests for hours at a time. The hot springs were peaceful and empty of people. There are staff on hand offering tea regularly. And it is open till late.To get around the facility you will be driven by a butler. They are always friendly and helpful. As a foreigner in China, I would say that Imperial Springs perfectly blends the experience of being in Guangdong, with aspects of staying in a hotel that will make a Westerner feel at home. I will be recommending it my colleagues and friends. There is both a Chinese food restaurant and a Western food restaurant. The Chinese restaurant did not have a menu available in English.Of course the hotel is a little on the pricey side. A bit cheaper would make the whole experience feel a bit better for customers. As always, it is the staff and people at a hotel that make the experience excellent. Ceci in the restaurant was very attentive and made sure I found some high quality food recommended from the chef. The hotel clearly employes highly professional catering staff.Rako and Michael also gave an excellent welcome tour to the hotel and took the time to drive me around to see the...
Read moreWe were privileged to stay here for 2 nights and play the golf course twice. Really big rooms that pampers whoever stays there and lives up to being a resort. Our room even has a walk-through wardrobe and a very unique shower in the middle of the bathroom. We dined at both the Chinese and Western restaurant and the food was of very good standard and quality. Excellent butler service as every guest was given special attention. We even visited the museum on a private tour and made a stop of the Presidential Villa. A visit is not complete without a visit and soak in the hot springs. Quiet and far away from the crowd it was really an experience. Golf was another interesting part of the stay. When you walk to the starting point the caddies would line up and greet you. Every caddie golfs and has a handicap(we found out that they had to take up a course at IS to become a caddie there and each was tall with pony tailed hair, pretty and courteous). The course layout was good and for the men has to cross many water obstacle from the tee box. Greens were very well maintained and in excellent condition. Will definitely make another trip back when possible. And we even made a trip to have a look at the villas for sale. sad thing is only the very high end ones come with...
