Disappointing Review of Rosedale Hotel, Guangzhou||If you’re looking for the worst hotel experience in South China, look no further than Rosedale Hotel in Guangzhou. Honestly, this place deserves a medal for being the absolute worst, despite the plethora of terrible hotels in the city.||I booked a four-night stay for my customer and his wife from March 29 to April 2, and it was an absolute nightmare from the start. I contacted the hotel because I couldn’t find a king-size bed option online and requested one, only to be met with a cold, indifferent response. I even informed them about our early arrival at 10:30 AM, but they have a strict policy of not checking in guests before 2 PM, with zero flexibility or hospitality extended to overseas visitors.||Upon arrival, the front desk staff was unbelievably rude. I had the audacity to request an early check-in, but was flatly denied, even though the hotel was practically empty. My wife and my customer’s wife needed to use the restroom, but they were told they couldn’t because the coffee shop was closed. Instead, we were directed to McDonald’s next door—how classy!||When I asked for help with a Chinese translation for a taxi, the front desk staff was completely unhelpful, sending me back and forth like a ping-pong ball. Eventually, a creepy staff member begrudgingly agreed to show our spouses the room assigned to them after 2 PM, but then tried to charge us an extra 40 RMB for a king-size bed. Talk about adding insult to injury!||The atmosphere was uncomfortable, with staff glaring at the ladies as if they were a nuisance. When I confronted the staff about the restroom situation, I was met with an evil smile and ignored. Apparently, even though the room was paid for, we weren’t allowed to use the facilities until check-in. ||The hotel itself is dilapidated and rundown. The only redeeming quality is its location near the Changang metro station, but that’s hardly enough to save it. ||In short, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Rosedale Hotel, with its rude staff and terrible service, should be avoided by all foreigners like the plague. Consider...

Pros:✔ This hotel was close to a train station.✔ There were plenty of food around for us to choose from.✔ There is a small working desk.Cons:❌ There was a surprise “deposit” (1,000 Chinese Yuan) that was as never mentioned that we were forced to paid which was just an insurance for the hotel in case we break or steal something.❌ The lady that checked us in was just mostly rude to us and barely explained anything until we asked her what each thing was.❌ The room that was given to us as not as clean as we thought, carpet looked really dirty with black markings, the bathroom did not look as clean.❌ The hot water kettle pot the hotel provided was rusted and had to get a new one.❌ Most choices for a room were forced with breakfast when booking online. I booked this hotel since I am visiting 1st time canton so I can collect my badge at hotel.||So the check in the lady said only smoking room available, I told her I can’t take that since I booked an non smoking room.||Then she said higher category available pay 100rmb more per night , also I said I won’t , after I say I will contact my booking parter Agoda she gave an suite room of no charge .||About the room it’s big have 2 bathroom and living room with 2 television.
