Review of Swissotel Guangzhou, China
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Swissotel in Guangzhou, located strategically in the vibrant Tianhe District. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the comfort and luxury this hotel offers.
The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, equipped with all the expected amenities. I particularly loved the master bathroom, which features a large circular bathtub, double sinks, and a spacious shower—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The thoughtful inclusion of additional toiletries like shavers, mouthwash, and cotton swabs truly enhances the overall experience.
We requested a king-size bed, and I must say, the mattress was wonderfully firm while the sheets and bedding felt soft and luxurious. It made for some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while!
Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Café Verano, where we enjoyed breakfast and lunch, offered a fantastic variety of dishes from East Asian to Continental cuisine. The service was exceptional; our servers, Deamon and Bob, were incredibly attentive and took the time to learn our food preferences, making each meal even more enjoyable.
We also dined at the Japanese restaurant on the ground floor, which showcased an impressive array of fresh Japanese dishes that delighted our friends and family. The quality of the food was top-notch and truly memorable.
A special mention must be made of the housekeeping team, who were constantly and actively ensuring our room was kept pristine. They consistently provided fresh towels and amenities, and they were always asking how they could exceed our needs. Their attention to detail and timely laundry service made a significant difference in our stay.
Chloe at the reception was an absolute gem. She went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, from recommending shopping spots to arranging transportation and suggesting local attractions. Her commitment to customer service was evident, and it made our stay all the more enjoyable. The farewell gesture from Chloe and the General Manager upon check-out was a touching touch that left a lasting impression.

The check-in process was smooth and quick. Ms. Chloe at the front desk was extremely helpful and provided all the information I needed for my stay. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was well-maintained.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty dishes. I also enjoyed the buffet dinner at Café Verona — the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
At the Japanese restaurant, we had grilled eel rice, sashimi rice, and beef rice — all incredibly delicious!

Read moreThis was my second stay at the hotel, and I truly appreciate the excellent service provided by Chloe and the team. I wasn’t feeling well due to the hot weather, and Chloe kindly helped me buy medicine — a gesture that made a big difference. Although I was unwell, I had a good rest thanks to the comfortable room.
The breakfast has improved, now with an egg station and a better variety of options. The only downside is that food is not replenished close to 10am, so choices are limited if you arrive late.
Overall, a great place to stay, with less traffic compared to the Canton area. Will...
