Shangri La — Hotel in Guilin

The Shangri-La ethnic theme park is a marvel for the eyes and a soothing dream for the soul. The area is perfectly set in a hilly artistic mountains’ topography made of plains, rivers and caves. For planning to visit the scenic spot, two different ways are offered to visitors: by boat or on foot. By boat is maybe the best way to enjoy the sightseeing as it enables you to have a general overview of the site. This way gives travelers an idea about the original scenery people discovered hundreds of years ago. On foot, the scenery is also impressive as this is the possibility to enjoy some fetes, hunting representations and colorful folk dances of the local Dong Minority people. There lies the drum tower as well as wind and rain bridge (shelter bridge) that are famous for giving birth to the many typical pictures of Guilin-Yangshuo scenery. Shangri La, is one of tourist destination in YangShuo, China. You can drive a car or bike or ride on coach bus from the YangShuo city. As my first impression Shangri La is trying to attract people to come and see this place by showing their ancient village, their unique traditional cloths, local dance, and welcoming song. The other unique thing I saw there all buildings were painted black.

The Shangri La story basically is an old settlement in the river banks, how they build the house, farming and how their daily life. To see all of them tourist should onboard on motor boat and sail around the stream about 20 to 25 minutes, say hi to local people when the boat pass the house or stage along the river bank where people beat the traditional drums.
