A very terrible experience... First of all, there is no clear sign outside the basement that clearly states that it is an internal parking lot for employees. It is easy to be guided directly to the basement by driving navigation. After entering, it is difficult to turn around in the small space... Secondly, it is claiming to be pet-friendly. The banner severely cut off the favored leek. I booked a guest room worth RMB 1,000 a night, but the front desk actually tried to charge me a cleaning fee of RMB 260 a night. When I asked if I wanted to confirm again, they continued to talk about charging a cleaning fee. It's really a bit too humorous. The lady at the front desk told me that the cleaning fee was 260 yuan, which was a down payment of 260,000 yuan, which almost scared me to death. Oh, and also, when I checked in, the front desk had to call other staff to confirm whether dogs could stay, as if I was the first guest to check in with a dog. Then something even more outrageous happened. I took the dog to ask a hotel employee to help carry my luggage. When the employee saw the dog, he blurted out: "I was scared to death." Please, you have already earned this money, can you act for a while... The dog doesn't make any noise, doesn't make a fuss, and ignores you when walking around. What scares you noble staff? I really don't understand. The next day, I asked the concierge if the Chinese restaurant could deliver food to the room. She asked me questions and said she wanted to call to confirm. The result was that the Chinese restaurant was not theirs, so they didn’t know, haha. Then she pointed out the location of the Western restaurant to me and told me to go and ask myself. When I asked, they said it was a Western restaurant and I didn't know anything about the Chinese restaurant. I traveled thousands of miles to a Chinese restaurant to ask again, and the result was no. The process was too humorous. Nowadays, it should be difficult for three-star hotels to get such a perfect stay experience. As for the 1,000 yuan cute pet suite, it provides a dog tent that has been used repeatedly but is too small for my dog, two stainless steel rice bowls, and a dog toilet that does not even have a peeing pad (although my dog is not indoors either) ** and pee) this excellent service is not worth mentioning anymore. Oh, the cute pet suite is not even strictly separated from wet and dry. Maybe a simple shower curtain is enough to make us grateful! In addition, the hotel room is not soundproofed, and I am woken up by people passing by in the corridor at night. All in all, a very scary stay experience! I hope your hotel will close...
Read moreMy wife and I am from Changzhou and needed a break at the seaside so we decided to book this hotel from 27 July-31 July.We booked a room with a seaview. What we absolutely LOVE:The service and friendly staff, not only the reception staff but even those working at the entrance ,in the lobby.I have to single out one gentleman , I forgot his name , ( see photo 1) wh was extremely helpful and patient. Coming from Changzhou we had to upload the Shandong province health code and we had difficulty getting the health code. This gentleman patiently helped me and my wife to fill in the required info and access our healthcodes for Shandong. He can speak good english and is a real asset for the hotel.2. Our Room with a view over the beach and the ocean. We had a spacious seaview room , with a bathtub which we LOVED.3 . The location was perfect, and in close proximity to attractions like the Wine museum. 4. The food was delicious and the meals well prepared. We really liked the beefburgers, which was delicious as well as the dinner buffet outside on our first evening. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. Recommendations for improvement: Ordering room service : When I ordered room service , the lady taking my order could not understand some of the dishes /drinks I ordered( like ginger beer) and poached eggs. However, she send the manager on duty to our room to take our order personally. Thanks!A second time when I ordered room service again , it was also not understood well. When I ordered fresh coffee, the coffee was cold. Maybe next time the coffee could be poured last, just before it gets taken up to the room. Overall, we had a LOVELY stay. Thank...
Read moreOur family stay at Hilton Yantai Golden Coast (August 2-3, 2025) was supposed to be a relaxing vacation—instead, it turned into a nightmare that left my children and me physically hurt and emotionally scarred.| |On August 3rd, while swimming in the hotel pool (which we assumed was exclusive to guests), an unlicensed, non-guest swimming instructor aggressively demanded we leave their "training lane." When we hesitated, instructor hit me hard on the head and shoved my children in the lower back, causing both of us to stumble in the water. My little one screamed in terror, clutching their back, and refused to go near water for the rest of our stay. They still complain of back pain and now have nightmares about swimming.| |What’s worse? The hotel staff showed zero concern. Pool attendants and the front desk ignored our report—no first aid, no apology, no action to stop the attackers. These instructors openly run commercial lessons in the pool (violating Chinese laws and guest exclusivity), yet the hotel does nothing to regulate them.| |Hilton’s promise of safety and care for families is empty here. They failed to protect us, especially a vulnerable child, and their negligence is unforgivable.| |To all travelers—think twice before booking this hotel, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Your family’s safety shouldn’t be at risk because of a hotel’s refusal to enforce basic rules or protect its guests.| |We demand accountability, but for now, we urge others to stay away. This is not a place you can trust with...
