DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Hangzhou East — Hotel in Hangzhou City

First. No ice at breakfast. You have to give your glass to a employee and they run to the back to get ice. Why is there no dispenser or bowl of ice? They have juice, teas, coffee, dairy….but not readily available ice.

Two. The air conditioning is garbage. I reported me room as hot three separate times to the front desk. The first time they delivered a fan. All it did was move around the hot air. The second time, they sent someone to clean my room. The third time, maintenance guy came, pointed his laser thermometer at the a/c duct, spoke Chinese and left. Never to return. We’re dealing with geniuses here. They never let me change rooms. The temperature fluctuated between 22-27 degrees Celsius (73-81F). This range was unacceptable. I barely slept at all. The elevators were colder than my room.

Third. The wifi is terrible. I’ve had rooms on two different stay on two different floors. Both times, the wifi was virtually nonexistent. Working whenever it wants it seems.

I will be emailing Hilton Corporate. Never have I stayed in one of their hotels with such neglect. First time ever, giving two stars for a Hilton. They only saving grace was that the staff are very nice. The breakfast buffet is awesome, resort style. And the hotel it’s self is very clean and modern. I know the ice thing is a bit petty but, it’s a inconvenience. I don’t stay in hotels to be inconvenienced. That’s kind of the whole point I would imagine behind...

It's a peaceful and cozy hotel away from the bustling touristy sites.Location- Truthfully, the hotel is far from alot of the attractions like the West Lake and Song Dynasty. But the convenience of the metro just 3mins away made up for it. There is also a big mall opp this DoubleTree that caters alot of shopping and food.Food- Breakfast was generally¹ just average. We went down for breakfast at 8.30am and quite abit of selection was already turning cold and hard. Room- I'm more particular about cleanliness when booking an accommodation because I have kids and I'm really pleased with DoubleTree 😊. Room is spacious with higher ceiling compared to other hotels, it's very clean and bed is very comfortable.Experience- The warm welcome and advises at the front office by Mr Milo and Mr Device started the beautiful stay at DoubleTree, of coz their signature warm cookies too! We had a very comfortable and happy stay at DoubleTree. The plus points are the billard 🎱 room at the basement, the swimming pool, the sauna, steam room and the gym. After a day of activity squeezing through all the attractions, it's relaxing and nice to rest back at DoubleTree. We had a good stay, thank...
