It's almost always the first impressions that count. I got here last night after an exhausting train ride and tried to check in. Reservations had been made by my colleagues. I was told that they could not locate my name. It took a phone call to my colleagues and finding their original email to finally be checked in. I was hungry since the train bistro car had run out of food, but the in-house restaurant was closed already at ca. 21:00. I found my room heated to 35 centigrades and the A/C took about an hour to take that down to 30 degrees. The TV shows me "no signal" and the remote buttons are only labeled with Chinese characters. I picked up the phone to call the reception, but the phone is not working. Also, if there is a safe in the room for my valuables, it's perfectly hidden. I am wondering what the next...
Read moreIt is a brand new business hotel, so everything is new. ||When I visited, I cannot get my Hilton points since system is not set up; if you care about the points, please check before you book. The pictures on Ad are exactly the hotel outlook. Front desk service is very friendly and cleaning service is satisfactory. One thing I strongly recommend to improve is Hot Shower, it takes quite a while to heat up the water.||Breakfast has food selection but the hotel don’t serve lunch or dinner. There are plenty of local restaurants around the hotel. ||You can order from Dianping as well, food should arrive within the hour and they do serve 1/2 dish for singles. ||From airport, it is not far, around 30-40min. And now, you can get DiDi (taxi service), share ride, and Uber Type private car service easily...
Read moreFront counter service was alright. They were happy to assist to order on behalf when I needed help with food delivery since the app didn’t work on my phone without a China number. Shower stall smelled of dampness and mildew. Housekeeping lady insisted on cleaning my room everyday, even though my DND sign was on. Still, she did a good job and was friendly all the time so kudos to Ms 秋。The room I was given was opposite a busy crossroads and I couldn’t really rest well on some days with the constant car horns going off (the drivers in Hangzhou are an impatient bunch so the horns were plenty).
