We spent one night at the Jinma Palace Hotel in Hangzhou while on our recent trip to China. We had a very nicely decorated medium sized room with two twin beds with a night stand between the beds, a desk/counter with one chair, a medium size TV on the vanity, a little round table and two arm chairs. There was a small refrigerator and a water urn/kettle but tea only - no coffee.||||There was only one pillow per bed but a couple of extras in the wardrobe closet, and a white duvet on each bed. There were several extra electrical outlets for charging equipment and what-not; and two phones in the bedroom area. Unfortunately, there was no room information or instructions in the room that were in English; and no hanging hooks or clothes racks except the hangers in the closet.||||The bathroom was very nice - but not as clean and spotless as it should have been. It had a bath tub-shower combination unit. There was a nice assortment of toiletries in the bathroom including: combs, razors, tooth brushes and tooth paste, sewing kit and vanity kit. The bathroom had was clothes and bar soap (both of which I rate as necessary in any hotel I visit.) As we had seen in other hotels of this chain family, there was a large glass window between the bathtub and the bedroom area, although this one had a curtain that could be drawn for privacy if desired.||The hotel had a very large lobby; with the restaurant/cafe located just off the lobby.||Two electronic room keys were issued upon check-in which is always convenient for husband and wife - or any two-some - staying in one room.||A...
Read moreStayed in the standard toom which is really fantastic very spacious and clean, make sure to get the breakfast deal as the spread is amazing for the price you pay. the gym is very big and has almost every machine or bars you would need, pool does need a makeover though. Downside about this hotel is the location, really far from the hangzhou centre and sightseeing activities, takes around 30 minutes by cab to get there. Staff are friendly but reception dont speak English so do take note but some are...
Read moreMany parts of this hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. Even the hotel room which had a no smoking sign on the desk smelled faintly of cigarette smoke, and the room had an astray and matchbox on the table, which made me think we actually got a smoking room. Either make the room non-smoking with no matches/astray, or designate the room as smoking.||||Rooms seemed clean enough, but the carpet had major stains on it, especially right next to the bed.||||Breakfast buffet was good, with a nice...
