I spent one night at the Mulianzhuang Hotel as part of a 15-day Nexus Holidays tour of China. Our group arrived rather late in the evening, but check-in was smooth and friendly. The breakfast area was nice, with ample seating and an efficient staff. Food and beverage options were good, with both Asian and western items available. Read moreThis hotel is supposedly one of the decent hotels to stay around that area. If your not Chinese I would not recommend staying here.||The hotel staff can barely understand or speak English, which makes it very difficult.||The room looks tired and outdated. The window in my room would not close and it took a while for the staff to fix it. considering that they could not understand a word of English.||The breakfast is the same every single day with only 2 dishes changed. I stayed there for a week and was fed up by the time I left. Very few international TV channels. There are few fast food restaurants at walking distance so its not so bad. I would not recommend this hotel if you cannot understand or speak some Chinese.||Also WIFI is super lousy. Its very very slow or...

This is a proper 4 - 5 star hotel. ||It is not in central Hangzhou but about 30 mins away and the best location for business visits to the Alibaba campus.||Arrived at 1am, fast check-in to a modern, clean and luxurious room. Large comfortable bed, local TV and some international channels and a very reasonable mini-bar! ||Took a few minutes to get an iron with limited multi-lingual staff. They do try! :-)||||Decent breakfast selection - small western section but as 90% plus of guests are Chinese it caters more for that market.||||Classy library bar - didn't get a chance to use.||||The only place to stay to be close to the Alibaba campus.||(nothing else - stores, shops, restaurants are close - its...
