ZTG Grand Hotel Airport Hangzhou — Hotel in Hangzhou City

It began with a 30 minute wait for the airport shuttle despite numerous phone calls and promises of being picked up in less than 10 minutes. Next, the hotel staff could not find my reservation and would not honor the price on my reservation, (had printed out the reservation and price that I showed them), until I insisted on seeing the manager who found the reservation. I specifically reserved a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. After returning to the front desk, (now mid-night), was told I could "upgrade" to a non-smoking room for US$20.||||There is a coffee bar in the lobby, unfortunately for the 3 days I stayed, they did not have coffee available.||||Normally, I would not write such a negative review, but I cannot think of one good thing to say...

location - 2 min by shuttle bus from airport - very convenient.||||rooms||- huge||- very clean||- excellent washrooms - neat and maintained very well.||||staff||- very friendly.||||airport shuttle hours||- every 15 min in the morning.||- every 30 min from noon.||very well thought out.||||to improve :||||1. breakfast starts at 6 - they should provide a mini breakfast for those taking first flight out ..||||2. gym - very small - cramped and dated. ||||3. the rooms have a fantastic view - overlooking the airport - but the windows are not sound proof and the outside noise of the traffic flows...

Afternoon Relaxing, Horizontal on the Bed, when all of a sudden comes a quick bang on the door. In walks housekeeping or guest services (not sure). Yikes!! ||Sichuan food on 9th floor is Excellent! ||Front desk whacks my credit card 500RMB per night "deposit" on a prepaid room. Bank takes 3 days to return funds. Second visit they want to charge me 800 per night. Why?? And Don't get the noisy Street facing room. Horn blasts from Buses will shake your sole even on the 8th floor. Yup, great location. Unfortunately, the only airport hotel. Doorway labeled Deefly, but billing suggests...
