Heihe International Hotel — Hotel in Heihe City

This hotel is located the northern town of Heihe China. It's said to be the best in town and probably is. Don't expect big city luxuries! The rooms are acceptable and beds ok. In winter (when it is frigid outside at -30C or lower) the rooms are heated to +30C. I opened the window all night despite the cool outdoor temperature and it worked well. A bottle of water placed near the window froze in ten minutes, but the room was warm! The public areas have a whiff of coal fire, I guess coming from the boilers, but not detected in the room. I would give the kitchen a miss. Breakfast is Chinese, but there is enough variety for non-Chinese to put together a reasonable plate or two. They serve coca cola at breakfast, so at least there's something to swill everything down with. As an alternative I could only find KFC in the town, no McMuffins this far north apparently. This is a typical 3 Star hotel, nothing to shout about. Room is rather standard in size, bathroom does not have an enclosed shower area which means you likely to get a wet bathroom after your bath. ||Hotel does provide for all the necessary toiletries and room slippers too. What I don't like is hotel only provide one flat pillow. Bed mattress is hard and no soft which may not be well liked by most people. ||Breakfast spread is fairly common amongst tourists class hotels in China, lots of Chinese dishes mainly vegetables, all kinds of porridge and noodles soups and some breads and buns. Заехали после обеда. Обычное время регистрации 14.00. Номера с излишком просторные с видом на реку Амур (на китайском Хэйлунцзян - река черного дракона). На рецепции говорят по китайски, иногда по-русски ( отдельные работники), на английском - скорее нет. В коридорах темновато. Чистота не на очень высоком уровне, хотя санузел (ванная комната совмещенная с туалетом) вполне чист. Но есть одно "но" - душ не отделен никакими преградами от остальной части ванной, то есть когда вы моетесь - вся вода разливается по полу...если после захочется в туалет - придется плыть. В раковине низкий кран и руки задевают керамику, собирая зубную пасту. В комнате были телевизор, кровать с двумя тумбами, диван, столик и шкаф, холодильник. Есть фен и весы. Окна закрываются плотными занавесками. На полу ковралин со следами от ошибок питания...(темные пятна). Приятный презент от отеля - фрукты. Есть платный бар. Имеются проблемы с освещением - половина лампочек перегоревшие. Завтрак не удобный, всего два часа с 6:30 до 8:30, из плюсов для европейцев - есть вареные яйца и сосиски, кофе, фрукты (не много). Встречаются куриные головы и другие мелкие национальные изыски - меня повеселило, на вкус прилично. Негатив - попросили сьехать в 11.00, хотя стандартное время выезда 12.00. Неплохой конферензал.
