We accommodated in the Yeyuan Hotspring hotel during our visit in Yeyuan province in the summer seasons. Upon arrival by coach the scenery around the area was beautiful, picturesque and the arrival was grand, featuring lots of "Chinese Looking Elements" such as a watermill, tents, Chinese buildings and much more other essential components. ||||We stayed in the "D" zone of the hotel, which is lovely as the privacy levels are higher and are located farther away from the lift area on the floor itself. These standard two-single bedrooms are quite spacious, offering a total of 40 square meters, adding up to 80 square meters for 2 rooms in a family. The beds are very spacious and can actually sleep up to 4 persons in a room with childrens. The small 'living room' was spacious and comfy, while the bathroom was nice. There was only one minor concern about the dripping of water in the bathroom but it was rapidly resolved after our visit to the onsen area. ||||Everyone in our tour encountered major problems in the service such as the requirement of bringing 'two room keys for one room so that the two persons can enter the onsen area" which reflects the bad to poor service throughout the hotel. Although this, the staff inside the changing rooms are friendly and even tried to find our missing goggle that was left in the toilet throughout our tour (although it wasn't successful at the end). ||||There was a large waterslide area for children, a spiral loop highspeed slide for both children and adults, a baby pool and a wave pool in the first section of the onsen area. Everyone had much fun and enjoyed every moment in the area which is opened from 2-6pm, 8-10pm. The other part of the onsen area was the 68 onsens which are all unique in its design, smell, texture and temperature. As it was in a hot summer, the overall experience might not be as enhanced when compared to the winter season where the temperature of water will be just right. But however it was an excellent experience and we enjoyed every moment in the different style pools such as lavender, rose, milk, red wine, ginger, chinese medicine, and other types that people will all enjoy. ||||The dinner was served in the banquet zone located just feet away from the hotel building near the entrance. Except for the critisism of the average ambience with no much air-conditioning on a warm summer day, the food was averagely well made accompanied with some good service and being a cost effective meal. The breakfast was served in the buffet restaurant inside the main building, where foods can be fresher including the different assorted buns. Some food was averagely well made but some can still be improved. ||||Overall it was a great stay in the Yeyuan Onsen Hotel. Despite major flaws in the underlying service, disappointment of dripping water incident in the toilet and some flaws regarding ambience (in dinner) and taste (of breakfast), the great onsens, playing areas, spacious rooms all made this a great stay. To make this a 5 star review the flaws can be enhanced to improve overall...

Read more3,5 Stars would be the right rating, but i need to choose between 3 or 4 Stars from five. It belongs to the better ones, of the hug amount of south china hotspring restorts. No the best ones, but the better ones. First, i did not tried the hotspring, i can only talk about the hotle, rooms, and breakfast and lunch, ||||The hotel is in good conditions, in China you often find, new perfect looking hotels, the first month, then they look old like many years. This one for sure is not the youngest, but you can see they care about it and keep it in better conditions, better then many "western chain" Hotel resorts. Rooms are big and clean (no perfect but good). Lunch was good (chinese food). Breakfast is tottaly chinese oriented, if you like it it is fine, if you are a foreigner and focuesd on european continental breakfast it is not so fine, For britisch people maybe ok, because it has fresh eggs and sausages. The breakfast room is for the main breakfast time really full and loud. Homely Atmosophere is something different.||||The stuff is friendly but do not really speak english. The uniforms looks like from a nurse, not from hotel staff, but here maybe the culture and taste differences are the reason, to get this kind...
