Easy to access campsite. There is a bus stop above and below the campsite. Most of the harbour buses stop there and they have undercarriage space for your camp stuff, just ask them to open it up.
The campsite as many sites but come early to get a good stop. There is fresh drinking water so bring a refillable bag. There are a few flat platforms that you can camp on but these are beside a stream. If you have a bug zapper then you don't have to fear mosquitos.
There are bbq pits and benches around the campsite but some of the bbq pits have broken over time or they have to grill to hold the charcoal.
The campsite is cleaned atleast once a day. They bathrooms have both a squat and a western toilet. There are also basins to wash dishes outside the bathrooms.
Some of the campsites have good shade while others are in direct sunlight. The afternoon sun can be very hot depending on where your camp is set up. Best to bring a tarp.
At the harbour there is a welcome, MDs and a park n shop. You can bring your tent and sleeping bag only and get things in at the harbour front. There is a also a slightly hidden vegetable store that sell their fresh produce at responsible prices.
