OK, where to start. Lets start with the positives. There is a free bus that runs daily & regular to Tsuen Wan MTR station where you can catch trains to most of the tourist sights. However, this hotel is in the Northern territories so you are out of the way somewhat and it will cost you about 120 -140 HKD in a cab to get to this train station.

The breakfast was included in the room price, you will get a ticket to hand to the receptionist as you arrive for breakfast each morning. However, the breakfast room is packed full and you may need to share a table with people you dont know who dont have good table manners. The breakfast has a running buffet however it is pretty basic and set out in 3 different places within the room. The chef does not make poached eggs. The baked beans were of an inferior brand and poor cereal choices. There was often only one choice of jam for toast. There were muffins however there were no Danish pastries or croissants or honey. The cutlery was often dirty, so please be prepared to clean your own or bring your own down from your room.

There is an over spill breakfast area, that's a a marque in the carpark area out at the back of the hotel, which during your breakfast time you will be witness to may delivery trucks coming and going. There is no delightful view at all in the marque just dirty laundry being taken away.

Another positive that I must mention before I forget. The front entrance is pretty with its fountain that doubles up as a roundabout for vehicles. There is a beautiful small grassed area with herbaceous borders. However, there is nowhere outside for children to play or anywhere to just sit and have a coffee and read or just chat. Unless you want to sit in the carpark marque or stay in your own room.

Talking of rooms. We had 3 rooms over our 10 day stay, believe me when I say I was not truly happy with any off them however I had paid via a website and my hotel booking was none refundable so even if I left I would have lost all that money and I wasn't wanting to loose it all to stay somewhere else. So we made the best of a bad job. The first room was nothing like the pictures on the web page with pretty bedding. The bedding was a basic white. You could not walk around the bed as the bed was pushed upto the window. So not at all like the photo shown. The shower room was very small and there were mark's/ stains on the carpets and ceiling. Although there was a sea view it was the shipping harbour with shipping containers coming in and out all the time. Not really romantic unless this is your thing.

The beach called Lido beach is a fair walk away and down steep steps to get to it & although young families used it, I'd be concerned about the quality of the water considering all these boats. Having said that, there is a cordoned off area where no boats came near & there was a life guard present at the main times families were there during the day. The families with children all seemed to enjoy their time there. I would say some people are easily pleased.

The other beach which is within walking distance does have a lift down to it. The lift smelled strongly of urine. However, this beach was not really used by families an no provisions were made for hiring sunbeds or sun umbrellas. Again this beach had a view of container ships coming in and out.

So we arrived late on our first night after 10pm due to our flight and was told that room service was not available after 10pm. What star hotel is this? Oooh 4 star I keep forgetting.

After rearranging a room swap to a room where you could walk around the bed, we settled for the night. The view was ok of the shipping lane, but no balcony or anywhere really to sit and read unless you did so on your bed. The wardrobe space was not large or long enough to hang dresses only short items and it had a light inside that seemed useless. There was a usable safe for passports and money to be kept securely. However there were only two small draws to place other clothing items. 4 stars - someone is having a laugh when they...

During my recent trip, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that left a lasting impression. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with awe-inspiring views that took my breath away. The hotel's location provided panoramic vistas of the surrounding beauty, creating an aosphere of tranquility that set the stage for an incredible stay. The service at this hotel was exemplary. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my every need was met. From the moment I checked in to the day of my departure, they were always available, ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Their dedication to providing exceptional service made me feel valued and well taken care of throughout my stay. The rooms at this hotel were thoughtfully designed, combining comfort and elegance. Waking up to the stunning views each morning was a treat for the senses, and it felt like a privilege to witness such natural beauty from the comfort of my room. The attention to detail in the room's decor and amenities added a touch of luxury, enhancing the overall experience.Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight of my stay. The culinary offerings were diverse and catered to a range of preferences. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chefs. The attentive and knowledgeable staff provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that every meal was a delightful experience. In addition to the picturesque views and outstanding service, this hotel offered a variety of amenities that further enhanced my stay. The spa facilities provided a sanctuary of relaxation, allowing me to unwind and indulge in rejuvenating treaents. Rooms: mold issue everywhere, house keeping only comes once a week, not even the bare minimum for amenities, carpets look like they have stains from 20 years ago, no table or chair, barely even one outlet to plug things in. Dehumidifier and air conditioner works, but clearly not enough to help with the growth of mold through the room.

Service: miscommunication between staff in the hotel; we called the front desk to ask about the pool and if it was open (typhoon and thunderstorm season so we wanted to check before going down there) and front desk said yes. We went down to the fitness and pool area, and the people working there said that it’s NOT open. shuttle bus: good drivers, consistent schedules and is free for hotel guests, however there seems to be an issue with letting people who don’t stay at this hotel onto the shuttle. They should be at least checking hotel room cards to make sure that they are staying here, and NOT random people on, as it takes up space on the shuttle for people that DO stay here. lifeguards and pool/fitness front desk: there were some guests at the hotel taking pictures of themselves in the pool WHILE my family and others were swimming in the background without our permission. We talked to the life guard and he agreed that no pictures should be taken in the pool, especially without the permission of others. I came back out to check and I saw that the people were still taking pictures in the pool, without caring about their surroundings or other people being in the back. This is disappointing. We then talked to the pool front desk, and to sum it up he said that he didn’t want any conflict between guests, and that he can’t do anything about it. Words cannot even describe how I feel knowing my picture was taken in a bikini without my permission.

Location: very nice view, beautiful view of the ocean and the bridge that lights up at night. I don’t mind how far it is from the city centre as the shuttle bus...

This hotel overall is not bad. But the shuttle bus service has a lot to improve. Between 10-11am is super rush hour and not enough shuttle. When I came down to wait for shuttle at 10:03, the line was so long, I could not get on the 10:20. They need more shuttle bus between 10-11am when everyone is checking out. It has too many mainland Chinese people with BIG suitcases without anyone stopping them. The bus has no room for people to put their suitcases, and we saw the big suitcases falling off to hit the front seat passenger during the ride. The area in the front of the car shall be cleared out for people to put their suitcases but it’s full of driver’s belongings. The stop sign clearly said passengers with big suitcases shall take taxi and the shuttle bus is only for small bags. The drivers did not stop people from going, it’s really dangerous when the suitcases fell off during the drive and can endanger others. Between 9pm to 10pm also it’s really hard to come back, it needs 10 mins per shuttle, not 20mins. I waited 35 mins for a shuttle at 9:10. There are 60 people waiting for a 28 seat shuttle. Lastly, the drivers are driving quite dangerously, they drive really fast on the lower road of Ting Kau which is supposed to be slow. They are definitely over speed limit. Besides, the Tseun Wan West line shall be a separate route. It takes too much time and not enough seats for people to get on. Overall, lots of room to improve for shuttle bus service, needs more frequency (10mins each during rush hours). And the staff should tell the people with big suitcases to not get on and get them a taxi. That
