The Cove Hostel - Tong Fuk Dolphin — Hotel in Hong Kong

We booked a room of The Cove Hostel - Lantau Island Tong Fuk Dolphin from 6th to 7th Aug at Hostelworld. The receptionist said there was no record of booking, blamed Hostelworld for their system error. We were told we couldn’t stay in when we arrived. The receptionist asked us to contact the app and sort it it ourselves. Then she ran off without helping, didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. We contacted Hostelworld afterwards, they said all the bookings and availability are managed by the property directly. So it’s terrible management of The Cove Hostel. I will never recommend...

This place used to be decent, but under the current owners, they are listed on so many booking sites and are constantly over booking their rooms. Be very careful when you stay here, because when they mess up and overbook you, they will do nothing to help.

When staying there before, the rooms were clean and decent, the hotel is in a nice place as it is in the quaint, quiet village of Tong Fuk near to one of the best beaches on Lantau Island. We were in room 2001 it was a decent size, there was a small TV (had no channels but there was a DVD player in the cupboard of you wanted to use that) the bed was clean, comfortable enough. The bathroom was on the small size but it had everything you needed, it was clean the shower was a fixed overhead which was powerful only down size is the hot water didn't last more than a minute or two , we had a small balcony and theres a small beautiful beach less than 5 minutes...
