Our time at zero five one seven inn was simply superb. Firstly, upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by a member of staff, where he took our heavy bags off us and showed us to the check in desk. We were then given some complementary Chinese tea, which was extremely refreshing after such a long journey.
Next, We were shown to our room where our bags had already been dropped off. Our room was modern, quirky, extremely clean and had a large, comfortable double bed. Later that evening, we went downstairs and ordered some western food off their extensive menu which provided a certain ‘homely’ comfort for us both, thus making our stay even nicer. We then asked the owner advice on how to spend our two days in Huangshan. He gave us a map of the area and then showed us two detailed routes that we could take around the mountains, describing the cost and time it would take us for each day. He also recommended that we should visit the local hot springs (which in my opinion, was an EXCELLENT recommendation!!) The hotel staff where also very helpful with showing us how to use the local transport. Breakfast was served from 7-9am but one morning we were advised by the owner to leave early in order to beat the mountain crowds. This was no problem for the hotel staff. They accommodated us by providing a traditional Chinese breakfast in a box, before the serving time for breakfast (for us to take with us the to mountain). To top it off the manager drove us in his own car to the bus station the day we left. They really went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable.
After visiting a fair few cities in China whilst on our travels, I can safely say that the service we got from the zero five one seven inn was the best customer service we received in the whole of our five week trip. There was always a smile and hello from the start of our stay to the very end. We would definitely recommend this hotel & will be hoping to return again.
Thank you very much, from...
Read moreThe hotel rooms have a beat layout, are clean and quite comfy. We had a nice big shower, big comfortable bed and a projector! We had a balcony that was underused as it was kind of chilly in December but the heat was enough. The lobby/restaurant/bar area was quite inviting but a little bit drafty. They only turned one overhead heater on at a time and understandably both in the evening.||Highlight was how accessible it was and the friendly hotel staff. We were near a bus station that took us to the Huangshan Hot Springs and we were the first stop in Tangkou Town coming back from our Huangshan Mountain hike. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and helped contact the hot springs to make sure our visit there would be hassle free and arranged a ride for us to the bus station where we could buy tickets and get up to Huangshan Mountain. The staff even sat with us for half an hour with a ma top help us plan our hike!||The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good and there are quite a few Chinese style restaurants and shops nearby. Get snacks at the supermarkets as the food on the mountain is brought up by hand and can be two to three times the price it is in town. I would also recommend bringing your HDMI adapters to hook up phones or computers to the...
