Crowne Plaza Hotel Huizhou — Hotel in Huizhou

Reservations Department: 2 days prior to my arrival, had a few calls with Wendy to ensure all 5 rooms are booked with specific requirements. - She was very patient alright!

Hotel Concierge: Arrive in a flight from Singapore to Hong Kong at 5.20am. Took Airport Express from HKIA to Shenzhen Luohu. It was still early so I called the hotel asking for directions. They guided me to take a direct transport to Huizhou Terminal then changed to a taxi to Huizhou, Crowne Plaza. - Very Interesting Road Trip. Haha

Checking-In: Arriving at this hotel for the first time... Walked behind the bell boy quietly to the reception in Bermudas and T-Shirt. Front desk staff was sharp! I bet she saw my old INTERCONTINENTAL GOLD coloured luggage tag and immediately directed him to bring me to the VIP check-in area before I even reach the counter! I then asked for all 5 of our club rooms to be on the same floor as all the others will only arrive at 1pm.

Lunch in Nobel Court: Kick-off lunch with four executives from listed companies and the service staff were very nice and polite.

Supper in Western Restaurant: RETA assured me that my wanton noodle will be ready soon and she will attend to it personally as all my guest had been served. how to get angry when someone gives you a personal touch? I was really hungry then.. Good service & keep up those lovely smiles!

SPA & Full Body Massage in the Hotel: Price is very reasonable at around 300+ RMB. You can choose to do it in your room or they will give you a nice room for massage at Basement 1.

Dinner in Ishiyama Japanese Restaurant: Managed to get a room to host a dinner for 8. Thanks to the same lady at the front desk that checked me in for arranging everything. It was Full House! Please call to book in-advance as the business is very good.

Breakfast in Club Lounge: 2 days in a row I was the first and only customer. Nothing to complain on the service as I prefer to eat in a quite environment.

Breakfast in the Western Restaurant: After having mine upstairs in the club lounge, I would head down for tea with my clients while they prefer to have it downstairs due to the wide variety available. Angela was the supervisor serving the members area and she remembers I always want fresh orange juice. - Felt the personal touch of good service! Well Done!

I would also like to thank Anne & Paul whom came over to get feedback from me & my guests. This made us felt important and we will come back again!

My wife and I stayed at Crowne Plaza Huizhou for a single night visiting our friends over CNY, and while the hotel has its strengths, a few shortcomings left me with mixed feelings. Check-in was smooth, and the lobby’s modern, polished design gave a strong first impression. The bathroom was a standout—spacious, impeccably clean, and stocked with high-quality toiletries. The rainfall shower was a relaxing touch after a long day. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat; I appreciated being close to downtown Huizhou, making it easy to pop out for a quick errand. Unfortunately, the bed was a letdown. My mattress sagged noticeably toward the center, which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected better upkeep in such a critical area. When I mentioned the issue to the front desk at checkout, they acknowledged the feedback with a polite apology but didn’t offer any compensation, a discount, or even a gesture like a voucher for future use. Given the price point, this felt like a missed opportunity to turn a negative into a positive. Since my stay was brief, I didn’t use the pool, gym, or dining facilities, so I can’t comment on those. The room itself, aside from the bed, was tidy and functional, with a sleek minimalist design. Noise wasn’t an issue—the air conditioner worked quietly, and the street sounds were minimal. Crowne Plaza Huizhou has the bones of a great hotel: a prime location, stylish interiors, and efficient service. However, the sagging bed and lack of proactive resolution to my complaint dampened the experience. If the hotel addresses maintenance issues and trains staff to handle feedback with more flexibility, it could easily shine. For now, I’d cautiously recommend it for short stays—but maybe request a room with a newer mattress!
