We stayed in a 2 bed hillside villa which came with a private pool and indoor natural spring spa. Our stay was only for one night as part of a road trip. We extended checkout to 2pm.||The location is beautiful and the entrance lobby of the hotel very grand. As another reviewer has stated when the resort opened it must have been very spectacular. The villas are hillside and are accessed by taking an electric cart. You then need to climb a couple of flights of outside steps to reach the villa. There was no help for luggage, so as we stayed one night we left our suitcases in the car. The villas due to location do not have parking, hence the electric cart from the main car park.||The building itself needed some attention doors not closing properly, slightly musty and showing wear and tear due to ageing and poor quality construction. The showers did not drain due to the tile base sloping in the direction of the door. The villa was generally clean on the whole, comfortable beds, fresh linen. The swimming pool was not the cleanest but okay. Spa was large and spring water hot (we were allowed to refill it twice).||The Chinese restaurant was popular and we ate a set menu. Food was average and slightly disappointing. Although, it did enable us to try some local signature dishes. The restaurant was somewhat tired looking and there was no attention to detail. Breakfast was in the 'Western' restaurant which was much brighter and had a fresher feel. There was a wide choice of Chinese dishes. The Western selection extended to sausages and cheap poor quality bacon. Overall, the food quality and range was disappointing for such a resort. But they are catering to the local market, not ex-pats.||As a family we enjoyed our stay and it was needed relaxation on a long journey. The children loved the pool and had much fun. The spa was also lovely and large enough to fit the four of us.||I am reviewing this from a Western perspective and would suggest that unless you are travelling with a Chinese person or have Mandarin skills I would not recommend staying here. As language was not a trouble for us we didn't encounter issues. From a Chinese travellers perspective this resort would...
Read moreHuge resort, in a very quiet area, middle of montains. staff is really friendly and helpful, some of them speak good English ( ask Betty ). The rooms are very big, full equipped, no USB plug so take yours. The hot spring is amazing with great variety of basins but always hot water…. One Chinese restaurant and one buffet restaurant, where you can find call what you like. You must try the draft beer at the buffet…. Breakfast is huge with lot of dishes, fruits, even coffee. Located at 20km from highway (G45), hotel is easy to find. At only 500m from hotel, a small village with lot of small shops, where you can find what you need. If you have car, parking inside hotel, free. Since 12 years I go many times there, and I don’t see any change. Always clean and the same...
Read moreAnd it is still a solid choice in Longmen County, however it is showing it's age because property is not kept up in all area.||||Little things like shower stalls in the Men's room on the way to the outdoor Hot Spring are not draining properly, thus flooding the stalls while you are standing in it.||My bedroom hairdryer 2-prong plug kept sliding out of any outlets in the room, thus making drying hair a frustration.||Troublesome control on air-conditioning panel.||||Other than few minor hiccups which are easy fixes and attention to details, overall the hotel is still very nice.. That includes spacious room, comfy bed, strong showers, good WiFi. Very good restaurants with plentiful choices both East and West. And of course many HotSpring pools to...
