I highly recommend Club Med Beidahu for a ski holiday in China. This place is under-rated and definitely deserves more attention.
My family and I arrived on 25 November 2025 and snow started falling on the same day. I was able to start skiing the following day thanks to the heavy snowfall and many snow machines operating on the slopes. The snow was thick and powdery. The ski and snowboarding equipment were relatively newer than those at Club Med Yabuli and the vicinity had great amenities (Onsen hotel, massage services, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops etc). Du Ru Qing from the ski counter gave us good recommendations and showed us around when we were lost on Day 1.
Ski lessons are all-inclusive at club med for both kids and adults. I was really blessed to be taught by a world-class ski instructor from Argentina by the name of Fran. I attended his beginner, club 1 and club 2 classes and overcame my fear of steep slopes. His lessons were interesting as he kept introducing different exercises to hone our techniques. He gave great demonstrations and tailored the training for different students based on our respective skill level. There were 3 to 4 of us in one session. When the class got too big (14 at one point), he split the class so that we could continue to learn meaningfully with him. There was never a dull moment and he was EXTREMELY PATIENT. Most importantly, he ensured our safety. I felt very well taken care of by Fran and highly recommend this instructor to anyone who speaks English and wants to take skiing to the next level. Club med is so lucky to have hired such an experienced ski instructor!
Another GO who is definitely worth highlighting is Martin from the bar counter. I could go to him with no drinks in mind and he would surprise me with his own unique blend of cocktail that perfectly suits my mood. He was really sweet to provide the recipe to me in case I missed his concoction and wanted to recreate it when I’m home. Martin was also an awesome ski buddy during his day off. He joined the ski class with Fran and lifted the spirits of the team with his bubbly, fun, positive vibes, which is completely a trademark of Club Med! After his working hours, he hung around at the lobby so that he could see my family off on the last day. This GO takes his work seriously and deserves the highest praise.
I would like to thank Teacher Joe from the mini club for completely breaking the ice with my six-year-old. My daughter was looking forward to the mini club everyday thanks to him. Teacher Joe accompanied my daughter for dances after dances apres ski and ensured she was hydrated. He is a tireless, magical kids magnet and my daughter couldn’t stop raving about him after returning home.
The food and overall service at Club Med Beidahu were excellent. The Head Chef seemed to be always on duty and ensured his guests enjoy the best food quality and variety. We were consistently greeted by everyone from the reception, to persons opening the doors, food servers, cleaners, chefs etc. The Village Chief himself served ice cream to guests during one of the evenings. I had ordered a ton of stuff from Taobao and they were collected on my behalf by a team of very responsible folks from Club Med and placed neatly in my room.
Rooms were very spacious, clean, with heated floors and modern electrical fireplace installed. Housekeeping team did a fantastic job! Winter is especially lovely and warm indoors here and the complimentary Onsen sessions dissolved our muscle aches from skiing. I can’t wait to return for another ski holiday. Thank...
Read moreMy family had been there twice and both times there were no English speaking ski/snowboard instructors. The impression given during booking was very misleading when we were asked to choose our language spoken (Spanish was even a choice!). We went during end seasion for our first trip so having limited instructors was expected. For our second trip, there was only 1 Caucasian instructor who taught a single kid at an advance ski level. The instructor team was made up of 95% chinese instructors. The beginner classes were conducted entirely in Mandarin and some of my classmates who spoke only English, gave up after 1 lesson. There were also no Teen classes. On our second trip, my 12 year old was asked to join the adults ski class because he became physically too much bigger than the little ones. Given the huge crowd at the slopes and how the adults class was conducted, he would have been lost on the slopes in minutes. He also did not understand Mandarin and there was no way he could follow the class. In the end, he stayed in the room alone while we went for classes. The resort was fine and the staff very friendly. However we were disappointed with the quality of the ski and snowboard lessons offered as they did not deliver what was stated...
Read moreWe were a group of 4 families traveling together with a total of 18 people.
Leon Lai, the restaurant manager was thoughtful and considerate and went out of his way to make arrangements for our whole group. We celebrated a friend’s birthday during the trip and they prepared a nice birthday cake and had the whole club med team celebrate the birthday with us!
The hotel is probably the nearest to the ski hall and is a mere 5 minutes walk away. They have a dedicated ski hall for Club Med guests and allows you to avoid the local crowd which can be very daunting. The ski trainers are are also very patient and professional and made sure that all the group members are taught and grounded on the fundamentals before allowing progression to higher levels to ensure guest safety.
All in all, Club Med Beidahu has been an enjoyable trip for our first ski experience and has created many memorable moments...
