Beautiful decor. Clean, comfortable bed, large quiet room, nice bath and shower, adequate amenities including always-on WiFi, excellent room service. (Even good beds in China are a bit firm by American standards. No other choices, but an extra duvet or two should suffice if folded in half into pads atop mattress. I had no difficulty or discomfort with the bed as it was.)||||Air pollution is awful in this city. It took a couple of tries to communicate to the housekeeping staff that my window must never be left open. Drink only bottled water.||||Staff very friendly and anxious to please. Meals always delicious with wide - nearly overwhelming - range of selections in choice of several restaurants. Typical immense breakfast buffet in Marco Polo restaurant augmented by custom preparations. The coffee is pretty good by Chinese standards (that is, it's lousy, but drinkable..) If you like scrambled eggs, be patient, ask a half-dozen times, and a person will eventually appear who knows what you're talking about - and the eggs are perfect. Don't expect an exciting lounge or bar experience - it just ain't their thing. Don't order a drink with ice - ice isn't made with safe water. Harbin brand beer is excellent, as are some of the more fiery Chinese "wines."||||Be prepared - if you call the main desk and an accomplished English-speaker isn't at hand, the attendant may simply hang up. It's not an insult - coping is a problem for them, and they don't all speak English well that far from Beijing (and by what standard might we expect it?) They will turn over heaven and earth to help or simply to please, and warrant considerable patience if their English isn't tip-top.||||Dead-tired Ol' Stupid here left over $200 in pocket of trousers sent for cleaning. They were returned that afternoon, and the attendant handed me the money intact. I was flabbergasted, and of course sufficiently grateful to tip generously in a country that doesn't tip. That alone is enough to ensure my return.||||Room numbers are weird, and it's easy to get lost with a wrong elevator button. This is hotel #6 in their chain, and room numbers all begin with the numeral 6. Room 341, for example, will be numbered 6341, but is absolutely not on the 6th floor.||||This hotel was not built for European royalty. If you believe yourself to be the King or Queen of Sumfarplace, I suggest you go to that nation to discover that it, too, won't satisfy you. This place is good. Enjoy the differences.||||All in all, a fine, restful experience worthy...

I chose this place specifically for the pool, By reading and looking at pictures on TripAdvisor.||It's great because they have full lap pool plus a shallow water side of the pool which is great for kids to play.||The hotel has just been renovated so everything is in good condition. The rooms are well-equipped but I would only complain that they're too cluttered with too many things in the room. Almost every kind of knickknack you can imagine they shoved into the rooms. This however is not a reason to not like this hotel because it's great.||The attitude and service standard of the staff is very good. |While the Chinese restaurant is nice it's not suitable for just individuals and couples to eat because they only have private rooms for groups. It's a little bit strange. However do not despair, literally directly across the street is the most awesome food market you could ever go to. Every kind of Chinese food you could want is in that big food market across the street. It's all indoors so don't worry about the weather. It's called Xiao Song Cheng. It's a must for any visitor to the city anyway so it's a great idea to stay in this hotel.||Attached is a photo of...

Lovely hotel. Our daughter in law to be, booked it for us during her and our son's wedding and celebrations which were directly across the road from this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was substantial and tasty and seemed to offer a variety of options for guests. Hot tea and coffee readily to hand. We checked out the facilities on offer and again we found ourselves happy. One evening our son and his then 'wife' booked one of the Karaoke Rooms for friends to enjoy ~ very impressed. Huge well equipped area with staff to hand and a variety of 'eats' brought up. Lots of reasonably priced drinks also were much appreciated. The staff were very pleasant and tried their very best to understand us daft Brits and help us whenever they could. Also I've never stayed anywhere in a hotel with so much visible staff cleaning the place. Every day and night there appeared someone up a ladder carefully paying attention to some...
