I spent one night where I slept very well! the room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable, even had choices of pillows! Food was disappointing though:-(

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel in Dec 2010, arriving after Christmas and staying over the New Year.||||To start with, the location of the hotel is not too great, seeing as it is in the Hi-tech Development District. (The house number is 52, btw; the first taxi driver left us beside the hotel as he obviously had not been there before.) There are shops and eateries close to the hotel, though. Taxis are generally ¥15-20 for most central parts of the city, and easy to come by most of the time. The upside is that the hotel is fairly new and modern, as opposed to many hotels we saw in the more central areas of the city.||||The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made a great hotel excellent. Much of the staff spoke at least a few words of English, and there was always somebody around who spoke the language fluently enough. They allowed us to check in early (we arrived around 7-8am in the morning), and took care of our luggage on the last day. They even managed to arrange a tour for us to the stone forest (nobody on that tour spoke English, which they had told us in advance; on the way back, the tour operator took us to a hard-sell tea shop, which was not the hotel's fault though as they had not known the operator, and not a problem for us anyway, as we did not understand a word and could just enjoy the tea). They were always helpful in writing taxi cards for us (indicating where we want to go in Chinese, as taxi drivers do not speak English), and/or stopping the taxi and telling the driver where to go. They even went to the store across the street with us to get some of the local spice which we so enjoyed. The only negative thing to say is that most of the front desk staff were not from Kunming, and did not know the city too well.||||The room was big enough for the class of hotel, and included a nice bathroom as well as a TV, sofa chair and desk. The bed was on the hard side, which seems to be normal in China. The room was cleaned and made up on a daily basis. The room was not noisy, and otherwise ok. On the downside, the TV only has Chinese channels (only one English-language channel: CCTV News), and there is no computer or Wi-Fi in the room to use internet. Also, almost every time we came back, we found the window open (not a big deal, of course).||||There is a business center in the lobby area, where one can surf the internet. We found this to be reliable and usually available, if somewhat overpriced at ¥20 per hour. The attendant in the business center spoke no English, but is quick to get an English-speaking...

Dynasty is really a lovely place to stay. We headed back to Kunming from the Red Land and one thing we absolutely wanted was a relaxing comfortable place to stay before flying out to Beihai the next day. The Hotel has spacious, clean rooms, all very well fitted and definitely comfortable. They have a gracious restaurant, a bar place and a night club inside the building.||||Not many of the personnel can speak english. It's actually hard to make yourself understand but we soon found out that the very best english speaking staff are the girls. Just so helpful and willing to do anything possible in order to get or go what you are asking. Chapeau to the girls!||||The room cleaning lady also left us a note advising us, among other things, not to forget our coat when going...

I came with a group tour and stayed here for one night. We arrived there around 8 pm and were quickly checked-in. The room was nice and clean but air-conditioner didn't operate. I called the reception but they couldn't communicate in English while notified my tour guide. An hour past, nothing happened so I went down to lobby to found out that none of them could speak English although they could understand some. With a help from my tour guide, I learned that the air-conditioning system had just been turned on due to guests' complaints. It would take another hour or two to cool down the room. Open window was an option if you wouldn't mind loud noise from street. In short, the room was uncomfortable and the hotel doesn't meet...
