Four Points by Sheraton Langfang, Guan — Hotel in Langfang

We visit the Four Points by Sheraton, in Gu'an Langfang often.This was a particularly special visit, as there were numerous events to celebrate.Namely "Mid Autumn Festival", "National Day" and my Birthday coincided during this period.This Hotel is without a doubt the best Hotel, not only in Gu'an, but in Langfang as well.The "Eatery Restaurant", plays a vital role in the success of this Hotel.I often say this when visiting a great Hotel or Restaurant, it's the "Team", whom makes the establishment a success.The "New" pastry cheff, is truly a great asset to the Restaurant and Hotel.His pastries are of exceptional standard, and the variety is huge "unlike the sister Hotel's Restaurant, The Sheraton", whom barely have any pastries or desert on offer.Without the right team in place, the business can and will, never be truly successful.Especially, in the current highly competitive market.As a former "Regional Retail Manager", with over 15 years of Management experience, I can't help but observe and analyze certain businesses.Being University Qualified in "Customer Relationship Management" and "Retail Management", I appreciate High levels of Customer service.The success of this Hotel and Restaurant, lies in it's team, and their hard work and dedication.True "Managers", lead from the front, and set an example to their staff.As the case with "Samuel" the General Manager, whom always assists his team on the floor.The same can be said for "Marcus" the Restaurant Manager, whom is always "hands on" and working hard on the floor.Such "leadership" sets the tone, for a great team as it will filter down to staff on all levels.Special thanks to "Lydia" the Office Manager, for always being willing to assist in ensuring that guests receive the absolute best, during their stay.Lydia is always courteous and professional.As always, "Marcus" the Restaurant Manager, treated us with extreme courtesy and hospitality.We appreciate your hospitality Marcus, thank you.Thank you to "Molly" from the Restaurant, whom assisted us with with room service, as well as in the Restaurant.It's also note worthy to mention, that it's not only the "Management Team", whom deserve praise.As all team members provided excellent service, during our stay. Thank you to "Housekeeping", for friendly and prompt service.The team at the "Swimming Pool", also provided friendly and prompt service, during our stay, thank you for that. We also appreciated the friendly and professional service, received from the following Restaurant staff: Sam, Peter and Joe.Perhaps, "Marriott" should consider, having this Hotel's "sister" Hotel, "The Sheraton, Chaobai River Hotel's Management and Team, learn about "Hospitality and Service", from this Hotel "Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an Langfang". As in my opinion, the "The Sheraton, Chaobai River Hotel's Management" is not on standard.The facilities at the Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an, Lanfang, are on International standard.We always enjoy the Swimming Pool, Lobby Lounge and Outdoor Deck, during our stay.The "Alpacas" are truly amazing creatures and are well taken care of. They truly make guests' stay, more enjoyable.We can highly recommend the Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an Langfang, to all visitors, "Foreign, and Domestic".This is still our favorite destination, in Gu'an / Langfang and surrounding areas.We look forward to our next stay,...

We booked into the Four Points by Sheraton, situated in Gu'an Langfang over the Labour Day Holidays.Special thanks to: Iris (Front Desk), whom assisted us with our booking.The Hotel exceeded our expectations thusfar, and we felt right at home upon arrival.Check in was fairly quick, considering that they were fairly busy during this period.Special thanks to: Vikki (Front Desk).Note: Vikki assisted us at Check out as well, which was very prompt.Special thanks to: Simon & Rita, at Front of House for assisting us.The Hotel is situated in a tranquil environment, and you feel relaxed when in and around the hotel.During the Spring Season, guests will enjoy lots of greenery around the Hotel.We were suprised to discover a small farmyard zoo, with animals such as Rabbits, Guinea fowl, Pigeons, Piglets, and so on.More impressive, the two Alpacas, something you don't often see in your life.Guests can even purchase their very own "Alpaca" stuffed animal, as a souvenir.Enjoy some fresh air on the wooden deck, in the courtyard, near the Alpacas.We enjoyed a buffet dinner at the Western Restaurant, which is situated opposite the Lobby Lounge.The Restaurant followed a German theme, and German dishes were available to enjoy.Dishes were professionally prepared, and of high standard. We enjoy our meal, as the variety and quality, was excellent.Guests can also enjoy "Room Service", the menu has a good variety.Special thanks to: Marcus (Food & Beverage Manager), for taking care of all our needs during our stay). After dinner, we enjoyed some Wine and Cocktails at the Lobby Lounge.The room was spacious and well equipt.We enjoyed a good night's rest, the bed and bedding was very comfortable.We relaxed at the Indoor Swimming Pool, and noticed that there are Sauna and Steam Room facilities as well. The big pool was heated. The small pool has a whirlpool function and is much warmer. This was our first visit to this Hotel, in short succession.We loved visiting this Hotel, especially as we enjoyed good service during our previous visits.On this specific visit, we did however not receive the service, that one would expect from an International Hotel Brand.We tried to order some "Room Service" for lunch on Saturday, I dialed "Room Service" and "0" from the phone in our room, but to no avail, the call went unanswered, despite numerous attempts.Our day was spoiled, as we now had to leave the hotel, to find lunch elsewhere. We ended up walking to the mall nearby.I find this to be unacceptable, dining and room service, are basic services at most reputable hotels.I was only asdisted by the Hotel, after I had reported my concerns to Trip.com"I find this to be extremely disappointing, yet again".Lydia "Office Manager", did her best to apologize for the lack of service, that we received during this visit. And assured us that we would receive better service in future.Further to this incident, we received poor service from the staff at the Swimming Pool area as well."The could not provide us with something as basic as a bath towel".I do however doubt that we would be returning to this hotel, as this was an extremely disappointing stay.I mentioned my concerns to Lydia, as we don't understand how service levels can decline in such a short...
