From Australia and had a wonderful time. The staff where extremely polite, friendly and welcoming to me and my wife (she is Chinese born) I don’t know who rated this as a 3 star hotel, it’s 100% 5 star. I’ve stayed in many hotels and grand Hyatts all over the world and this one in Lanzhou is definitely the best one by far. We had a corner suite with beautiful river views. The layout was outstanding. Seperate bathroom and toilet with big robes for your clothes. The bathroom was located down the hall, massively oversized with big shower, bath and double vanity. The bed was extremely comfortable and the turn down and house keeping where extremely trustworthy, they even folded my clothes after we had a very big night of partying and leaving a bit of a mess as we had the world famous (and my favourite) Lanzhou noodles for breakfast
I hate hotels who have bathrooms close to the bed, this was great as no being woken by your partner using the bathroom at night. The room size was extremely spacious with around 270 degrees views of the yellow river, mountains and city. We were top floor penthouse. We originally for 2 nights and were meant to stay at another hotel for a further 3 nights, but after the first night we decided to stay. We were extremely lucky as it was the long weekend public holiday but they accommodated our request and we didn’t even have to move rooms. Located in the heart of the cbd, everything close by, or a short ¥10 taxi ride. Everything in Lanzhou is a ¥10 taxi ride.
Don’t bother looking at other hotels this one is the best. Just wish we stayed here on all our trips.
I love Lanzhou...

None of the staffs realize and nobody fixes it. The room wasn’t clean, when I checked in, there were things on the hand towel and hair on the pillow. The non-slip pad wasn’t clean enough and the rubber band was way to tight to open, therefore I didn’t use the pad. The problem is the bathroom floor wasn’t dry enough, I was slipped when I enter the bathroom. Which cause me injuries on my hand and my knee. To me it was a horrible experience. ||The Regency Club did not provide any professional service, you can’t check in at the club. FB staffs were in charge of the regency club which is unbelievable.||Breakfast experience was also horrible, guests were wearing their slippers in the restaurant. The staffs did not warn any of the guests, which is a potential safety issue. Staffs did not provide professional service.||The hotel did not care about the feelings nor expectations of Hyatt members. As a globalist, I did not see any welcome nor appreciated from the property. To me the entire property was not like a Hyatt hotel. It was more likely a local 4...
