Big size room, modern equipment, and friend, helpful stuff.|| China Orient Express A railway cruise along the Silk Road||5/22-6/2, 2019 I and my wife join a unique train tour COE. It was a well-organized tour, time effective, comfortable, and progress in the Silk Road culture.||1. Time effective ||12 days, 5000Km, and 8 cities, start from Urumqi west to Kashi, then east to Turpan, Jiayu Pass, Duhuang, and finish at Lanzhou. We travel between city and city during the night; then after a pleasure breakfast start a day tour. To compare with bus tour, 5000Km would take about 100 hours. And mostly it can drive at day time only. We got those time for sightseeing.||2. Comfortable ||On the train 2 person a cabin, 8 cabins a section. There are two washbasins, two toilets, and one shower on each section. Followed by one or two days train travel we’ll stay in a hotel, which is the best one in city. And also we had several times traditional banquets in each city.||People work on the train are friendly and skilled. ||3. Progress in the Silk Road culture||We had a lecture on Silk Road history, which is knowledgeable and interesting. Based on it we visit Mogao Grottoes, Jiayu Pass, The Great Wall west end and Karez irrigation to understand the Silk Road. Everyone was suppressed how the ancient people can go through this area by manpower and camels only.||We had fun at Mingsha Hill, Yueya Spring, and got 51 degree C. at Fire Mountain.||We fund mid-east goods...

I have visited all international hotels in Lanzhou in search for a high standard hotel for an international crew staying in Lanzhou several weeks. We chose this hotel and it is up to all our expectations, and more. Its location is ideal, as it is located next to many restaurants and shops. After several stays there, I have personally experienced a very high quality of service from all the staff. A lot of the staff speaks English, and there is even international staff. For example, Valeria is from Eastern Europen, speaks very good Chinese and of course English, and she helped me solve an urgent health problem during my stay, with calm, kindness and effectiveness indeed. Elin also has been very helpful during my stays there. I have stayed in many hotels all over China, but never felt it necessary to especially mention one and recommend it.
